Nice scenery to see this landmark with a big Mao Ze Dong statue on the front. Good to take picture. There is subway station and shopping centers downstair. Not much to do other than for taking pictures.

The place itself is not really interesting. The most interesting part is, that on the opposite side is the Mao Statue. Consequently, you can skip going there because of the place, but not because of Mao

It's the geographical center of Chengdu. Still worth a visit, even though the activity center of Chengdu has moved further south. The square is pretty and well kept. There is a huge statue of Mao Zedong. The Chengdu Museum is just across the square.
