Highly recommended to spend up 2-3 hours enjoying the walk around and admiring the giant pandas. Be there by 730am on weekdays to avoid the crowd that starts to come through by 10am.

YES there will be crowds, but, WOW is it worth the visit. The Pandas are about as close to being in the wild as you can get. We have seen Pandas when they have visited at Zoos in Australia but this is vastly different. We...More

The place was very clean and well kept. It’s not expensive to see the whole park. About 50rmb. If you get there around 8:00am the place is only a little busy. I recommend getting there early to avoid the crowds.

An amazing place to spend a day. The area is well designed and kept and it’s very nice to see the pandas enjoying their life. You can go there as a family, as couples. With friends or on your own

I was not really sure I wanted to go here, but it was one of the best trips on our vacation. We were lucky that it was not too hot and there were not as many people as I had read there could be. The...More

I have not been here for 17 years. In the interval many of the problems with Panda breeding and nutrition have been resolved. My hat is off to the diligence of the local scientists. The Panda population has grown substantially. Of course the critters are...More

I went mid September, on a public holiday. However there was torrential rain so it wasn't very busy at all. But the rain meant, as a group of 10 of us, we only got to go to the two nurseries. We did see a large...More

The two of us visited the Research Base at 8am, which was a great time to come, as both the red pandas and black and white pandas had just been given their breakfast and visitors could see them all very easily. The crowds which came...More

The location is quite far from downtown but easily reachable. Good to see funny panda. Try to see the baby panda. They are very funny during breeding time. Visit there during winter season however area full with tourists.

If you see gift selling outside the park already, pls buy there, for sure cheaper than the gift shop inside. Panda toys are everywhere in Chengdu on the street, you don’t have to only target in the gift shop in the Zoo. Get... More

We were there in July last year. There were pandas inside and outside. The newborns were kept inside. The bigger pandas were free to roam outside. Enjoy your trip.
