Be sure to do this side trip when you go to Panama City. We saw several different kinds of monkeys, in addition to many birds and water life.

Up close views of several species of monkeys. Guides were able to call them closer to us. One even got on our boat and snatched a grape from my husband's hand! Squeal-worthy!

Small monkeys will flock to boats when they pull up to shore because they get treats. Feed them small bits and they come back.

Not as many monkeys were hungry as my last visit four years ago but still a delight to feed the ones that were.

Our tour to Monkey Island did not disappoint! We were able to see all 3 types of monkeys that inhabit the area. The “howlers” were amazing! They sounded like lions!
