Visited on a Sunday and it was super crowded. This place is huge, you will not be able to finish it in 1 day. Boats rides are welcomed as they significantly reduce the walking time from one point to the other.

Huge garden and for 3 hours at a leisure pace, we covered: 1. Long Corridor 2. Stone Boat 3. Suzhou Street Do get the audio guide which highlights key sights and make your walk much more interesting!

You can see why the China Royalty went here in the Summer. Beautiful stunning lake & gardens. The history of the place is fascinating. Very crowded , but that it is standard in Beijing.

Visited here briefly walking through the various administration buildings which open to a vast lake. Various outstanding walks are available, pedalos can be hired. A bridge across the lake is in the distance. Could have done with more time to enjoy the scenic views.

This was another location that you really need to visit when you are young and strong. Once you realize that you started on a pretty big climb, it’s too late to go back and just as easy to go forward. Beautiful place and the palace...More

The easiest and cheapest way would be to take the Beijing Underground. You'll need to take Line 4 to Beigongmen Station, then exit via Exit D. There should be directions outside of the station that will point you towards the... More
