I would put this on the must do list for a Jerusalem visit. There is ample parking space. It provides a great panoramic view of Old Jerusalem that includes a great deal of the wall, the cemeteries and landmark spires, minarets, domesand other buildings.
The Jewish cemertery on the Mt.of Olives looks like a city of tombs. We didn't need to spend a lot of time there. Walking down hill from the cemetery is very steep. Don't wear smooth leathers bottom shoes. Several people couldn't get traction from the...More

Yes. It may look far but actually very well doable. Take eg the Lion gate, go to Getsemaneh and directly behind Getsemaneh on the right hand side a road goes straight up to Mt Olive with the fantastic views.
