Definitely worth wondering up Mount of Olives and taking in the view from the top. This is also a great photo opportunity to take your holiday snap of the golden dome. Very interesting sight and highly recommended.

Yes. It may look far but actually very well doable. Take eg the Lion gate, go to Getsemaneh and directly behind Getsemaneh on the right hand side a road goes straight up to Mt Olive with the fantastic views.
