The Christian church of the Nativity that holds Christmas Eve mass every year and broadcasts around the world. Spectacular!

This church is where the Christmas Eve Midnight Mass is televised (not the better known Church of the Nativity). Its interior is frankly rather plain. A statue of Jerome adorns the cloister. It is worth a quick look as it is just right next to...More

Nice church right next to the Church of the Nativity. The grotto was very interesting. Probably need 20 minutes to walk through. Tomb of Jerome in the grotto.

Midnight Mass is televised from here. Some restoration going on here. Scaffolding in place but still okay to get around. Beautiful wood, icons, and paintings.

The Church of St,. Catherine is adjacent to the Church of the Nativity. it is a nice design and well maintained but not very interesting. perhaps it would be a much more meaningful visit for a person on a pilgrimage.

You can enter this church directly from the Church of the Nativity and after the busy chaos of that church it is a pleasant, quiet oasis. It is a Roman Catholic church and is where the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem celebrates Midnight Mass on Christmas...More

One of the 3 churches (together with the Church of the Nativity, which is Orthodox, and the Armenian Church) that occupies the center square in Bethlehem. A must if you are visiting!

This church is actually part of a monestary that is connected to the Church of the Nativity. It does have some nice stain glass over the altar and is a nice respite after the Basilica next door. You can actually sit and pray if you...More

The Catholic version of the Church of the Nativity is worth a stop after visiting the Jesus birthplace. It gives chance to sit and contemplate after surviving the crowds. There is cave in which St. Jerome translated the Bible into Latin. One can walk down...More

I assume you mean Christmas Eve Mass? The church itself is not very large. I do know they put screens in the square outside. Are you planning to stay in Bethlehem?
