- Travel-future-ahoySydney, Australia1,922 contributionsTerrific customer serviceTerrific customer service. Just wandered to this location on a rainy day. Was told upfront and shown photo that it was too foggy to see anything from the observation deck. 10/10 for honesty and keeping customer at top of mind. As an aside, Lotte department store was a nice place to visit on a rainy day.Visited September 2023Traveled with familyWritten September 28, 2023

Observatory is situated at the 65th floor and it gives a full 360 degree view of Hanoi. - WikumjBromley, United Kingdom317 contributionsExpensive but worth itThis is the best place for views over Hanoi. It is quite expensive to go up relative to Vietnam prices, but once you are up there there is quite a lot to do up there and you could easily spend an hour or two up there if you wanted to. Firstly there are the various view points with some interesting gimmicks - the glass floor, the big heart, the angel wings, which all make for some memorable photos. Then then there are various other things to do, VR rides, and art gallery, small exhibitions, a cafe and bar etc. So it is a comfortable place to spend some time. It is open til late so recommend coming in the evening to catch both the sunset and the city lights at night.Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 5, 2023
- Jay ThompsonFlorida2 contributionsMy experience at the Lotte observation deckThe observation deck is well-maintained and equipped with modern facilities, including a glass walkway and a virtual reality parachute experience. The glass walkway is a highlight of the observation deck, giving me and my girlfriend the feeling of walking on air. The virtual reality parachute experience allows visitors to experience the thrill of skydiving from a height of 270 meters (as I remembered)Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten January 3, 2024

Glass floor to stand on and look down. Great views over the city. They had some VR experiences for those who wanted to try. Bar was expensive as you’d expect. Giving a 4 for its photo spot.
It just didnt give me the wow factor like the one in Korea. Without comparison, it's still nice to visit if you have no other plans.

It wasn’t crowded at all. We had all the time to take many pictures and have drinks on the 65th floor. It was a great way to spend the afternoon. Plus there’s food and shopping on the lower floors.

Whats the best time to visit the deck? Morning or evening?
Hanzen

I would say just before sunset. In that way, you can have both daytime and evening view of Hanoi. During December, the sun is no longer visible around 5:00pm. So if you arrive at 4-4:30pm, you can have a clear view of Hanoi. You can stay for an hour or two until the city lights up and then you can have a nighttime view of the city.

how much does it cost to go up to the observation deck ? and what are the opening times ?
kimbeanz

Hi William! The opening hours are 08:30 ~ 23:00 (Ticketing Counter close at 22:00, I suggest going in the evening time where you can catch the sunset and also see the beauty of Hanoi nightlife!
For adults (above 12y/o) the price for a ticket will be 230000VND (apprx SGD$14) while for a child the price will be 1700000VND (SGD$10)
Hope you will enjoy the place as much as I did! Take note its a distance away from the Old Quarter so plan your time right if you want to catch the sunset or anything! Plus evening traffic is rather crazy so it took longer to get a ride to Lotte Centre

Hello, do you have to purchase a separate ticket to go to the roof top bar? And do you have to make a reservation to go the roof top bar? Thank you :)
Philtown
Hanoi, Vietnam64 contributions
No you don't need a ticket to the roof top bar. You enter via the Lotte Hotel lobby and get the lift to the 63rd floor. You generally done need a reservation but it might be a good idea if you are having dinner there.
Can you tell me, please, how much does it cost for students? Thank you!
