If you come to Guatemala City you have to visit Catedral Metropolitana at center of the City. Is a nice church, pretty view and inside is really interesting.

Located at central plaza of Guatemala City, a landmark and one of the two main buildings at the plaza. Free entry.

A must see beautiful landmark but it’s only open certain hours of the day. We tried to visit before 2 pm and the didn’t let us come in.

While walking to the historical route "Ruta Historica", we came across to this cathedral. If you pay attention and concentrate you can feel the energy emanating from this place!

This area can be quite busy. We alert in terms of keeping your belongings safe . There is a number of spots to see in this vicinity. It is really a hit and miss. I love architecture so I enjoyed what I got to see.

Zone 1 or "Downtown" is not a safe place to go. There is a lot of delinquency, the people are very dirty and pee on the street, so it stinks. The buses are unregulated and there is a lot of black smoke coming from them....More

It is definitely not the most beautiful church in the city, but it is in front of Palacio Nacional which is a must-see. So just pay a visit. Gets more interesting in Holy Week.
