Another stunning place to visit in Rome. We used a tour bus which was a hop on hop off service amazing for seeing all the sights and well worth getting. The Palatine hill was gorgeous to see. I've seen documentaries on Discovery and History channels but viewing it in person

You need to be fit for this one!! If the history of Rome is your thing then go for it, be aware though, its a heck of a stroll and there's a couple of steep inclines so not for the faint-hearted or high heels glamour types. Dress comfortably for whatever weather you are

When we went we did not feel that it was overly crowded - there was room to take pictures and plently of places to get away from the people and sit and admire the history in every direction. Good shoes recommend and take time to look down at the "streets" as they are amazing
