A little effort to get to from the cruise terminal but well worth it. Certainly one of the best inner city parks I've ever visited. Lots of wonderful and varied plant life. Great setup and beautifully scenic all round.

Called in this park on the way back to the bus station.
What a nice little oasis on a very hot day.
Very nice fountain in the middle of the park.
Just nice to sit in the shade and people watch.
Also onsite cafe.

Tranquil and beautiful. Unusual plants from around the world creating an interesting walk. Something for everyone. For me the best bit are the frogs. So little when we visited but they make a very big noise. I could watch them all day. This is our second trip to the park both in February. We had to return to see them again.
We've noticed lots of new mums walk in the park. Great for meeting friends too as there is a cafe at the entrance.

Lovely park with various artworks, sculptures, fountains. Not huge but has a good variety of 'rooms' each with distinctive gardens and nicely manicured landscaping. Also has a couple of cafes. Great for having a snack, coffee or drink and contemplating life.

Beautiful gardens and water display. The clock in its own planted gardens is stunning and actually works. 2 nice coffee bars doing snacks. Relaxing to sit and admire the garden and hear the birds

Knowing I would have a couple of spare hours on my cruise visit to Tenerife I looked around for places to see and spotted photos of this city park. I was so pleased I took the time to find it as it was a delightful park with many quirky statues, sculptures and pockets of nature at its finest.

There are many botanical species, cacti, pretty flowers, interesting trees, various quirky sculptures, a floral clock, fountains, etc. There were some lily ponds with frogs sitting on the leaves croaking away. The park is located close to a number of cafes and kiosks if you wanted some refreshments. Of all the parks I visited on my cruise around the Canary Islands this was my favourite by some margin. It's about 15 minutes walk from Plaza de Espana, so a little out of the way but well worth the walk.

This park is adjacent to the Iberostar Heritage Grand Mencey where we were staying and through which we strolled and traversed everyday whether enroute to the Plaza Espana, the tram stop at Weyler or the pedestrianised shopping street the Calle de Castillo. It thus functions as the nexus for many of the most significant boulevards including the Ramblas. As a mature, established park full of lush botanical species, it is also an art lover's paradise as it is dotted here and there with quirky sculptures which were the entries to a municipal art competition held years ago. Each section has its own unique feature - the bamboo grove, the cactus garden, the bougainvillea trellises, the floral clock, etc and there are also fountains aplenty. On the periphery are a number of cafes and kiosks, including the Numancia and Strasse Park, perfect for a drink or bite when taking refuge from the heat within this green oasis.
