Go there, take a walk and just enjoy! Consider to rent a local guide to tell you stories and take you of the main track - but be sure that the guide speaks English...

This is more a review of the poor services and a warning to those who forsake an organised tour. We decided to go there from Taipei and caught the train at 9:00am, arriving at Xincheng at 11:45. There are no signs directing visitors to the...More

My girlfriend and I visited the Taroko Gorge with her parents as part of our vacation exploring Taiwan. We hiked through the gorge and it was breathtakingly beautiful. The path was fairly busy but not to the point where the scenery or hike was spoilt....More

Very view of the gorge. Unfortunately it was rain during my visit however we can still enjoy to nice view. Better to rent a car or take a tour rathern than to take bus as require more time to wait the bus.

It is a long road up from Hualien on a bike. Even once you get to Taroko Gorge it is not bike friendly. We are hikers.

They are all pretty much the same. There are several shops at the park's entry, so just chose any of them.

Yes, provided you have wet weather gear with you. When it rains in Taiwan, it really does rain! But footpaths are good on the trail through the gorge, so you should have few problems. Hope this helps.
