I came here because I wanted to walk over to the Zhishan Garden, but I stopped to take some pictures of the Museum first. It was nice to see. I did not stay long but there were some great views which made for some nice...More

The National Palace Museum is not on the main Metro lines and not easy to find. I took the Metro to Shilin. From just north of the station, the buses can be a bit of confusion, but there are signs--and with some luck you'll get...More

It used to give me an impression that it is old-fashioned place and just for tourists to visit. However, it is not! It’s an interesting and knowledgeable place to indulge those ancient treasures! The demonstration is visitor-friendly to watch. The staff here is super nice...More

If you have interest in history, then this is place for you. Entry fee is 350 NT$. A lot of interesting historical artifacts to see and admire. Plus a kids play area too in basement. This will surely help families with kids.

Excellent museum. The Building is top notch, the art, manuscripts and exhibits truly worth seeing. Plan to spend at least a couple of hours here.

We went with our 4 year old daughter in the afternoon on a weekday hoping to miss the tour groups but there are still lots of tour groups (they are unavoidable). We did not get the audio tour primarily because it would have been too...More

This visit was very consistent with my memory of my first visit nearly 30 years ago - dimly lit, not well displayed, and much fewer exhibits than what the museum catalogues publish. There are some important exhibits, but it's not worth the half-hour car ride...More

Take the red MRT to Shilin then catch the bus from Zhongzheng Road number 304, 255, red 30 minibus 18 or 19, culture bus 101. Very easy!
