The entire trail is along a road, which is about 40 minutes in walking time. The scenery is beautiful, and this is definitely worth a visit.

Among many trails in Taroko area, one of the most popular and the most accessible trails is Yanzikou trail. But there are occasionally falling stones. So, it is advisable to borrow a helmet to protect yourself.

This half-kilometer stretch of old highway, which has several tunnels cut straight through the cliffs for regular traffic, also has been made into a pedestrian trail. As such, you can either walk or ride. A series of magnificent cliffs tower so high they set your...More

Very beautiful trail in Hualien which looks even better when its sunny! My friend and I took a private tour so our tour guide took us there by car. However the trail is accessible by foot as well! Definitely must visit when you're in Taroko!

This is as easy a walking "trail" as you can get but you still get pretty good vistas at the stops or turnoff. Wearing a hard hat is a good idea but unless you're destined to be hit by a falling rock, the odds are...More

You basically walk on side road. Known to local as swallow grotto due to the history. Great scenic along the way especially the rock mountain/hill formation created either by nature or man-made. Very recommended.

Good views of the gorge. But you’re not on a trail in nature; you’re walking along a road. Only takes about 20-30 minutes to walk it, so it’s easy. If you’re traveling the different “trails” via bus, don’t bother stopping here. If you’re traveling by...More

Sadly the day I visited was after a few days of heavy rain. Water was muddy coloured but the valleys looked beautiful

Do wear the helmet as recommended by the park to protect yourself from falling rocks! The walk is fairly easy and the road is very nicely paved. Choose a sunny day to fully enjoy the view!
