Prepare some jackets and raincoat if you are going in August. Highly recommend using local tour guide since driving there can be so tricky.

We found this trip the most enjoyable in our 15 day thailand trip. This is the highest place in thailand and it is extremely beautiful and their walking trails are most enjoyable to walk around

Doi Inthanon is one of the most popular national parks in Thailand, famous for it's number of waterfalls, few trails, remote villages, picturesque montane farms, viewpoints, watching runrise/sunset, birdwatching and the all year round cool weather.

There are always trips to the Temple available. Try to avoidvisiting on weekends or Thai Holidays, in the busy season, 2250 vehicles go up the mountain daily and the campus of the temple can be absurdly crowded.
