Australian Pinnacle Tours Perth - hightly recommendable
After a really bad experience with ANZ Travel company who farmed out the tours to Viator who thankfully chose Australian Pinnacle Tours for most of the day trips. I found the guides and the office staff to be kind and so so helpful. The buses were comfortable and the guides were extremely knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble for them. Definitely recommend

Good Tour - VFM and a Great Guide!
Great and well organised trip out. Chris (Driver and Guide) for the main tour was very knowledgable and delivered his tour in a friendly and great humoured way. Good to be able to have a bit of quality time walking around the Botanic Gardens and Fremantle. Other Driver on the hotel pick up run was great, but didn’t get his name. Good value and enjoyable!

        Bus tour of the island
Grand Tour on the bus was great and not riding endlessly which could have taken all day. No train was a disappointment , but the tour guide humour was admirable.

Lunch cruise Perth to Fremantle and return.
Had the best day thank you staff and crew. Pleasant and helpful staff fabulous lunch and plenty of it. Commentary was a bit difficult for me as I'm hearing impaired but that didn't matter. My two friends and myself had a wonderful time thank you. Great value.

        Rottnest First Timers
Our first time to Rottnest, so wanted an easy & comfortable trip. We got both. Tour guides were very knowledgeable & the content was great. We got to see a lot & cam away very pleased with our choice. The only point we’d raise was in respect of the meeting point, which was billed as “Rottnest Train Station”, but is in fact a small covered seating area signed “Settlement” so we weren’t sure we were in the right place.

        Great afternoon/evening at the Pinnacles
We booked the tour from bqck home and in the UK. From the off, Pinnacles Tours (PT) showed exceptional customer service. Marisa tried applying the entertainment book discount but it wouldn’t allow it online. After a quick email, PT refunded the discount amount. Regrettably as well, we made a booboo with our booking, and it was booked for the 17th, again after a quick call on the day, PT moved our booking on the day to the 24th! Hassle free, excellent customer service. On to the trip, our tour guide and coach captain, Anton, picked us up from our holiday at 2pm in the afternoon. From there we travelled up to Yanchep to see the Koalas, and then up to Cervantes to the Tavern for our lunch. After lunch, we went to the Pinnacles to take in the amazing sunset and views, and then down to Lancelin beach. We had a coffee and cake, and then back to the Pinnacles to stargaze! All amazing! Some breathe taking views. Anton was a brilliant guide, very knowledgable and friendly. Brilliant, brilliant trip! Thanks PT

Perth - history without the fuss
Guide Chris was awesome, in time, very knowledgeable and great sense of humour. Covered a lot of suburbs and got all the history along the way! Always best to do a guided tour when new to a place as you’ll learn so much more than doing it solo. Highly recommend this tour!

The stars were the star of the show
Great trip. We absolutely lucked out and Jonathon was our guide. He is an actual astronomer, so we learnt a ridiculous amount about the stars and a whole heap of other stuff on the trip there. Even though the trip was for the pinnacles the stars were the star of the show. If you go definitely go for the sunset and star gazing. The driver was really nice, but even though it's a new bus there were a few hiccups with it. I still gave 5 stars, because Jonathon was brilliant. Some very intelligent people struggle to connect with the average person, but he was great. The pub dinner was also good and we had enough time there have a bit of a walk around too.

        Better ticketing to opening times
All was mostly good except when they said on our tickets , the ticket box closes an hour earlier before the boat leaves. We got there at 645am ready for the 8 am departure but no one there, they didn't arrive and open until 720 am what a pain in the butt waiting around, they need to amend their tickets to their opening times this really sucks. You also couldn't get coffee until around 715 am so we could have stayed home an extra hour

        Could be better!
I've always enjoyed and taken the Rottnest Island hop-on hop-off bus service. It provides relatively cheap hassle-free transport around the Island and back to the settlement, where one can catch the ferry back to the mainland. However, it is a shame that the prices have increased to $30 per adult, with only a small discount for pensioners and students at $22. When you consider that, you only end up boarding the bus twice. Because of time constraints, you are not getting the best value for money.

        See the back country
Long day but not rushed. Our driver was excellent and the bus was comfortable for all day with many stops. The aboriginal communities were interesting as was the pearl farm. This was quite different to Willie Creek and I recommend seeing both to get the ful story

        Great Island Tour
Well run bus trip around the island, great commentary from Glenn. An excellent way to get to see the island especially if you are time limited and want to catch the highlights without the crowding of the hop on hop off busses.. Added to a great day on a stunning island. Even managed the obligatory Quokka selfie.

        Fabulous
Okay, so we did four Australian pinnacle tours with this company in the week that we are in Perth.. so the first one was to the actual pinnacles and a Benedictine church complex, the second one was to Margaret River, and winery and Beenleigh and a host of other places, the third one was to have a tour around Perth and Fremantle and go to Kings Park botanical Gardens, and the fourth one was to Rottnest Island via the large boat and then a tour for the day.. So I’ll just give a broad overview which is excellent. This company is run so well, they are very well organised and nothing is missed, and everything is double checked and they are perfectly on time every time they have to pick you up or take you back. The tours are all interesting although a few of them were very very long days but that’s just the nature of the beast when you have long distances to go. These things we could not have done by ourselves so we certainly appreciated this company having excursions to these places.. our bus driver/tour guides, in each case was absolutely amazing.. their knowledge was fantastic and their skill at driving and their friendliness was outstanding. Most of the drivers gave lots of information but then lots of time just to reflect and look at the window. My only criticism of one was that whilst he was a lovely chap he never shut up for one minute. Information overload and quite a few people were groaning as well.. it felt like we were going to a university lecture for eight hours. But he was a lovely fellow and he did give us about an hours break on a 12 hour day.. 😂. The other thing I might mention is that one driver that picked us up after the Rottnest Island tour that ended in Hillary’s boat Harbour… for some reason at the end of the day he was in a foul mood or something had happened and he drove rather dangerously. His bus said Quokka coach tours. But it obviously had been organised through Australian pinnacle tours.. we were actually quite frightened on this bus because he was not concentrating and talking angrily on the phone and looking down at his feet at times and when he looked up he was almost rear ending the car in front. Once I recognised a place in Perth, I got off the bus.. but that is not the typical thing for the pinnacle bus coach drivers who were exemplary in their work. Some of our excursions had meals and they were very very good and I am a vegetarian and they knew that and already had catered for myself and others who had dietary requirements. They looked after us with always having cool water and sometimes we would have afternoon tea and they would have hot tea and coffee and biscuits and things in their coach.. we were tired after all of these but we’ve realised we would never of seen these things without these people and their excellent company.

        Great whole day tour
Great from start to finish. A lot is packed in to this whole day tour but there’s never a dull moment. Our tour guide Jonathan kept us educated and entertained throughout. Seeing the animals up close at Caversham wildlife sanctuary was really special; the 4WD dune trip and sandboarding was memorable, the fish and chip lunch delicious and the Pinnacles desert experience stunning. Highly recommend

It's a long journey of 4 hours each way, but it's worth it. On the way, we stopped for morning tea in a small country town, Aboriginal artwork, a rock called "Hippo's Yawn", Wave Rock, everything was a good experience. The bus driver also doubled as a guide, and the professional explanations made the experience even more fulfilling.

Wow! What can I say a professional company through and through .
From the minute I booked the follow up emails and text confirmations it was very well organised .
Our driver Luke was an absolute delight . Mr entertainment not too much but the perfect commentary . Such a knowledgeable and amusing driver . Managed to wrangle an entire bus load of people on time to each destination . Throughly enjoyed the lunch at the wildflower cafe and the limited time looking at the wildlife park . Would highly recommend this trip to any visitor new to Western Australia . 5 gold stars !!!
Thanks Luke you made our day

The day was very long, as we did about 750km in the bus to visit York, aboriginal caves and wave rock. It took nearly 14 hours from my hotel and back to the hotel. The driver was amazing, as he not only drove all that way north of Perth and back, but also did all the commentary. I found the visits interesting and impressive, especially the aboriginal cave paintings and wave rock. I was staying in the Alex hotel, which was not a pickup or drop off hotel. I was upset when the driver insisted on dropping me off near the station, as I had no idea how to get back to my hotel from there. I had only arrived in Perth the evening before, and I took an Uber to the pickup point. I was tired and a bit fed up by that, but I did get to the hotel in the end. Finally I had joined this tour because of the wildflowers. It turned out there weren’t any.

Thank you for taking the time to review our tour, and it is great to hear that you enjoyed your day with our driver. We pride ourselves on the information our drivers have of the region, and the information they can share with our groups. Unfortunately, due to how large WA is, seeing some of these amazing natural features does require some longer drive distances, but we do endeavor to show you as much of WA as we can on the way. We are sorry to hear that your hotel drop-off was an inconvenient distance back to your accommodation, and will look to follow this up with our driver, to improve this drop-off service in future, Thank you again for taking the time to review our service, and we hope to welcome you onboard a tour with us again soon.

I booked the tour well in advance for my trip to Australia. A few days before I was to arrive I was notified that the company canceled the tour due to low numbers. I had prepaid for the trip and thus was very disappointed. I ended up renting a car on my own and for less than half the price of the trip had the car for 2 days and did two different tours (this and another to the southwest) via self drive and had a great experience. Other reviewers wrote about the hundreds of miles of boring wheat fields. It is true and it is a long drive to the site from Perth. York is a small town with a bit of history, but not a lot going on or to do. I stopped, but wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. Mulka's Cave was interesting and the Aboriginal hand print art on the walls was worth the drive from Wave Rock. The main rock itself is interesting and beautiful. The geology and cultural significance make it something of value, but this tour will not be the most interesting one you ever do. If you go, with the tour or on your own, the walk around the Wave Rock area is interesting and you can get much more on the geology from doing it. Also, research about Wave Rock's significance with the sky and migrations of the people to add to your experience. No matter how you go about it from Perth, it will be a long, long day.

This was the worst tour we have ever taken. York was nice but we only had 25 mins. Hours and hours of wheat fields. The Aboriginal Culture was a small cave with a three-minute story about a cannibal. There was no wildflower cafe or shop. It was the rundown Wave Rock visitors center. Lunch was doled out - two pieces of BBQ chicken with about three tablespoons of meat on them, a third of a cup of rice, chunks of torn off iceberg lettuce, sliced beets and pineapple with a loaf of sliced white bread thrown on the table. We walked away hungry. Wave Rock was what you see in the pictures, worth of five minutes of your time unless you want to take dozens of selfies while fighting off the hoards of flies. Don't believe the description.

We had three cheerful operators on the bus – all very helpful, enthusiastic and informative. The running commentary was great – full of anecdotes and interesting history along the way. The whole tour was around 12 hours with plenty of adequate toilet and food stops. The attractions were fascinating – York township, Hippo's Yawn, Mulka's Cave and The Wave Rock – all with good simple explanations from our operators. The only picky point is that the food at the 'rustic' lunch room was quite poor. Being a vegetarian I did have a lovely piece of tasty vege quiche but my fellow traveller said you had to chisel out the rise and the chicken gravy drumsticks tasted like a few packets of powdered stock and water. The sloppy cold slaw had run out by the time I got to it. And why have paper cups/plates and wooden cutlery – it felt cheap and nasty. A few easy and inexpensive fix ups would turn this lunch time experience around. Overall I thought the tour was excellent value for money. Maybe think about grabbing your own lunch along the way from the excellent York Bakery that we visited along the way.
The wall along the top of the Wave Rock was disappointing but it's been collecting water for locals a lot longer than the wall has been a tourist attraction... so you have to forgive it's inappropriate look and take photos that obscure it.

Me and my wife just completed this tour today.
The tour was absolutely outstanding !!!
Very well organized, very informative, at very good and comfortable pace and provided adequate food for the travelers including for those with special dietary needs.
The bus was comfortable, clean and up-to-date. The highlight of the tour was it’s a driver, Chris, who did an absolutely amazing/outstanding job in the way he conducted himself, his phenomenal commentary, and his attention to details and to the customers.
We’ve been traveling through Australia for the past 5 weeks and he was by far the absolute best driver/tour guide !!!
Thank you for a great tour today!!!

The tour was phenomenal with stops at York, Corrigin, Narrogin and Hyden. Our tour guide was Bob and he provided in depth explanation of farming industry, history of aborigines in the region and the problems experienced and still being worked on by locals.
The tour was very educational and insightful for my son (teen) and myself to learn more about our Australian history (both good and bad), really enjoyed it as it opened up conversation within my family.

It’s a long day tour but the guide / driver certainly knew his botanics and local history. We got lots of information which was useful as you are on the coach a long time thanks to the distances you cover. The wave rock is certainly not disappointing but make sure you have bug spray as I got many bites and one pretty nasty one. The included meal was actually very poor so it may be wise to take your own food unless you like barbecued chicken. The wildlife park at the wave rock is awful and it look like the animals are kept purely for financial gain, I wish they would close it down and rehouse the animals as they are kept in small rusty enclosures. The rest of the tour is worth the trip and money if you want to see a rock shaped like a wave or hippo mouth. If not then it’s a long trip to do. I enjoyed the rock formations and what few wildflowers were still flowering in October.

This was a big day out, lots of miles covered but sooo worth it! Wave Rock was absolutely amazing. Bec, our travel guide kept us entertained along the way with history, stories and knowledge of the locality. There were plenty of comfort stops during little visits to York and the wonderful Mulka’s Cave. Lunch was tasty and very welcome, we felt well looked after across the day.
