About
This cooking class is based on a survival way of cooking back in the days when cooking ware was not invented yet. The dish that's cooked inside bamboo has a distinct smoky taste that can't be achieved in cooking in metal cookware.

      Quality Tour
We highly recommend this excursion, Philip was an amazing tour guide! Amazing food, interesting history, and a great way to see Cebu. Philip was even able to tailor the food we experienced around my husband’s gluten allergy. I wish there was a way to give Philip 10 stars!!!

Lore was amazing! History and food on point!
Wow! What a fantastic experience. Lore and her team are amazing. Lore was so knowledgeable, accomodating, honest and funny! This tour has been a top highlight of my two weeks in the Philippines. The tasting of food was spread amongst the history. Lore really helps you to confidently try Filipino food and embrace their way of life. If you’re thinking about doing this tour, don’t hestitate. We loved it and met some other great people along the way.

Fantastic Tour! Learned and Ate a lot!
I love booking food tours and found this tour to be incredibly worth it! I book on my first day or two just to understand the food, types of dining, and I feel it builds confidence. We met our tour guide promptly and had quite the experience. We got to ride in a jeepney and saw many historical sites. Food wise, we tried so many delicious items I can't really keep track of what we ate. Lechon was of course very good and I got to try Balut. Honestly, I liked it! The guides were knowledgeable, fun, and very organized. I highly recommend booking this tour!

Best layover tour or Foodie must try
Definitely must try out this unique foodie adventure, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful with giving history and background about the historical areas. It’s very interesting to see how she cooks too as a local, she is very outgoing and I love the vibe with the rest of the guests which was also from USA.

      Yes yes yes
This was one of the best tours we've ever taken! We still cannot believe some of the food we tried but our guide Lorelie was so cool and fun, she somehow convinced us to and we are so glad she did. You HAVE to request her for your tour. Our group was small, just four people. We all bonded and had a great experience. The tour has multiple sightseeing stops along the way, making the price unbeatable. The market was an awesome way to end the night. So vibrant and exciting. I highly recommend this tour

      History and Food to love!
This was such an eye-opening experience for me. I learned more in this short trip than in a lot of the books I've read. The food journey was definitely a treat for an adventurous eater, like myself.

      Really interesting
We took lots of photos and it was a great experience - it was like to see how the people of the Philippines eat and to experience the local transport something we would not have done without the tour

Great time with the Guide Exploring Local Foods
Lorelie, was an amazing host! My wife and I booked this tour for our honeymoon and had an amazing time. We started in a small group of 5 people. Took a jeepney to our first stop and munched down on some local fried food. Then we when to a fun local street vender where we got to cook a quick local food and have food skewers in ranging in different types of meat with some good Red Horse Beer! Our final area we walked through the busy carbon market to a newly made food stand plaza and had the best lechon I've ever had. Throughout the tour we had history sprinkled throughout learning about one of the oldest houses in the Philippines, history about Cebu, and just fun local stuff. We highly recommend her! We wish we could of stayed and done another tour with her for the pub crawl. Would recommend her and to try to get to her local pub crawl. Thank you again!

An excellent way to experience the city!
Lorelie was a perfect guide and a great host for our tour. The food was great, and the tour was a good way of seeing the city. We visited places we wouldn't have found by ourselves and having Lorelie there to give us information and tell us about what we were eating and seeing really made it more enjoyable.

Lorilie was an excellent hostess and met me at the entrance to the public beach the cooking class is held on. She also help make arrangements for transport back to my hotel after the class.
The class it’s self was very informative and fun. She covered a bit of the history of the Philippine art of cooking using fresh bamboo.
The class is held on a public beach and close to where we were set up there was a wonderful Philippine family who were celebrating a birthday party and invited me to join. This was an unexpected bonus that really made the cooking class a real immersive experience.
Lorilie patiently walk me through the prep and cooking process and the dishes turned out amazingly well. This is one of the highlight experiences of my Cebu trip. Book it and cook it. You will be glad you did.

We went in March of 2023 My review is way past due but this was a great beach side experience and the food we made was delicious. In fact we need that chicken adobe recipe and some bamboo. I recommend in Cebu this is a must do.
