Overview
Float silently above the Sonoran Desert on a morning hot air balloon ride from Tucson. Watch the colors of sunrise spread over the high desert landscape and look for wildlife below during an unforgettable ride that gives you more than an hour of time in the air. Remember your flight thanks to photos captured from the ground by a balloon chaser, and celebrate back on the ground with a mimosa brunch.
What to Expect
Hot Air Balloon Rides Tucson
What to Expect
Our hot air balloon rides in Tucson begin 45 minutes before the sun rises.  When you arrive at the launch site, the crew will lay the balloon out for cold inflation.  Once Kevin has stood the balloon up, you will be invited on board for your pre-flight briefing and the adventure of a lifetime!   You'll ascend into the air and find the thrill of take-off replaced by the peacefulness of floating at the speed of the wind.  Many people are surprised to find that there is no sense of motion or swaying in a balloon, since you are moving with the wind.  Even people who profess a fear of heights find ballooning to be a peaceful experience. (For more, see our Afraid of Heights page).
Kevin will point out any interesting landmarks and wildlife such as rabbits, deer, fox and coyotes that you may have the pleasure of spying from above.  The crew will capture your flight on camera and provide you with your own picture files before you leave.  Once you have landed, you'll be regaled with the history of the post-flight champagne toast as you enjoy a delicious brunch with mimosas.
What to Wear
Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dusty - jeans and sneakers are a great choice. Open toed shoes and high heels are not allowed.  Long hair should be tied back or worn under a hat.  Be sure to dress for early morning temperatures and "layer" so you can stay comfortable as the day warms up. Hats and sunglasses are recommended.
How many people
We have a four passenger balloon and an eight passenger balloon. Depending on how many people we have booked for a certain day (and their total weight) you will ride in one of these two balloons..  Exclusive private flights are available for an additional fee.
How much time to allow
The whole adventure will take approximately 4 hours.
"My whole family had such a wonderful time today.  We want to thank you for helping us make this a memorable Christmas.  Needless to say, we'll be talking about this for a long time.  Your professionalism was superb and the champagne brunch at the end was lovely."  -- Gary Moran, Tucson
"Our hot air balloon ride was fabulous! You are a superb pilot and knowledgeable tour guide. Thank you so much for a wonderfully memorable experience!"

Absolutely Amazing

There may be pilots that are as good as Kevin, but I highly doubt that are any that are better at piloting a balloon. Take off was so effortless I didn't realize at first we had left the ground. Landing was just as soft, and...More

Bucket list!

My mom had always wanted to experience a hot air balloon ride. Kevin made it a wonderful experience, floating gently above the gorgeous Saguaro National Park. Definitely a morning to remember!

I booked a sunrise balloon ride and received two return emails. One was a confirmation of the booking and instructions for apparel, directions for meeting, and other details. The second email was confirmation of $500 payment (full price) for the ride. This morning I arose...More

You have to stand the entire flight. The total flight time was just over an hour for us, and there were plenty of opportunities to sit prior to and after the flight. You also have to be able to climb in and out of the... More
