- m100554060 contributionsWorthwhileWe enjoyed the tour. Rick, the driver was very nice and drove very safely. We saw a lot of interesting things including the Olympic training area and the Park cities area. We enjoyed both. Rick went at a very good place for both my wife and I. There are only two other guests on the trip and they were very nice also.Written October 5, 2024
- elses9920 contributionsI’ll go anywhere with Rick!I’m so glad it was Rick who took us out to the Salt Flats and The Great Salt Lake! He was absolutely incredible. Offered a lot of Salt Lake history as we drove, he is very kind, and made it a point to connect with each passenger. I went solo, but never felt alone! I hope anyone looking to see these beautiful places- you are in the care of Rick!Written September 15, 2024

- hollyfv420 contributionsGo for the viewsWhat a vast view. Annoying that people don't pick up their dog's droppings! Worth it to have someone else drive the two miles out and back for me. Salt will get on your shoes, but the views are worth it!Written June 29, 2024
- Jblueher0 contributionsPark City Tour fair, but possibly not worth overall costThe tour met most of the items described. Olympic Park was a really nice area with lots of artifacts along with being able to see some Olympian’s practice. The Nature Park Wetland Preserve walk, was not as good as hoped. Part of the trail was through standard city trail to reach the actual nature preserve. Once in the preserve, had scenic Mountain View, but was not a manicured trail that ultimately stopped at wetland area abruptly. Lastly, the Park City museum has some interesting artifacts about mining and town history. The addition downtown walk showed some of the interesting building history. One suggestion would be for the tour to be a driving tour giving the group open time to explore and be back at certain times. The tour guide was a nice individual, but seemed to lack in passion and significant historical understanding. In conclusion, our experience was that the overall value was not worth the $125/ticket price.Written June 21, 2024

- Happiness7687000 contributionsNature at its finestBooking this tour was straight forward. Appreciated Blake's communication and responsiveness. He was a very friendly, welcoming guide that was knowledgeable about Park City and the surrounding area. We especially enjoyed learning about the various plants, trees and birds we encountered on our hike. I even had my first moose sighting! We were happy Blake demonstrated respect for the land and wildlife. The length of the hike was perfect. We did it in about an hour and fifteen minutes which worked out to just over 10,000 steps on my Fitbit. He was happy to allow us to stop and take breaks and photos. The terrain was relatively easy to traverse and offered beautiful panoramic views from just about every vantage point. The tour of Historic Main Street needs some tweaking. Blake did share that we were his very first group to take the tour. We liked going to the Park City Museum to learn about the cities mining history. Also, made an impromptu stop in the Egyptian Theater which turned out to be worthwhile as it has a rich history. Would have loved a more purposeful agenda with key stops. We started at the top of the hill and leisurely walked towards the bottom with stops anywhere that seemed interesting. Definitely looking forward to going back though and would definitely take other tours with Blake.Written October 16, 2023
- S6736LSM0 contributionsAlways wanted to see the Salt FlatsStopped by the Bonneville Salt Flats during our road trip. It was easy to locate and get to. Unfortunately, there was no driving on the flats due to water standing on the area. Heavy snowpack was causing water issues when we visited.Written May 7, 2023

Our guide, Cramon, was fantastic. Communication before pick-up was great and appreciated. He had much information to offer along the tour and did everything in his power to make it a great experience. We saw lots of Bison and a beautiful sunset. Cramon offered many details about the animals and Great Salt Lake. He was personable and knowledgeable. We were offered bug spray and binoculars. If you're in the SLC area and want to experience some nature outside the city, I highly recommend this tour!

The sunset tour to Antelope Island was fantastic. I wanted to see the Great Salt Lake and this trip was exactly what I had in mind. Not only were the animal sightings exciting but the short hike to a vantage point to see the sunset over the lake was magical.
The guide, Cramon, was personable and communicated his pick up time with updates. He was a safe driver and shared his knowledge about the lake.
I would recommend this tour.

Stunning views, close up and personal with bison, and incredible tour guide; this adventure was incredible.
We met Leah at the Grand America Hotel at 5:50 pm per the early notification text the company sent out. We were the second group to board and we were fortunate to get seats upfront in the van.
Leah was amazing. She took the time to learn our names and get to know us. Within 5 minutes of meeting her, she's your new best friend.
The drive to the island took about 45 minutes. Along the way, Leah shared a ton of knowledge about Salt Lake City, Antelope Island, and the wildlife we would be on the lookout for.
We saw a herd of maternal bison (babies and all), mule deer, pronghorn (antelope), owls (even tiny ones), and robins. We paused at a ranch for a bathroom stop and toured around some historical ranching equipment.
Our adventure ended with a .4 mile hike up to a summit where we watched the sunset and did some bonding with our new friends on the tour. The view was spectacular, worth the entire price of the trip.
We can't wait to visit again and take another tour with Leah and SunnySide Expeditions!

This tour has amazing views of the landscape, wildlife, and sunset. Honestly, the beauty cannot be captured in photos and is breathtaking. Blake somehow manages to enhance this already great experience through his knowledge, humor, and ability to connect with people and foster connection amongst the group. While on this tour, my friend and I learned Blake also co-host/host tours internationally and we started planning a trip abroad centered on one of his tours. 10/10 highly recommend

This was such an amazing tour with Blake our guide. He made multiple stops to show us the different birds, find a bison herd, point out antelopes, and owls. We saw a beautiful sunset and stunning views from where he took us.

Beautiful island but our family (all adults) felt like the experience was overpriced & underwhelming. The drive on interstate was long but the van was nice. We would have liked to have had our pick up point closer to the island since we had our own car (not sure if that is an option). Also our guide was very friendly but not that informative about the island. I also didn’t like that we got a text 15-20 minutes before the pick-up saying bring rain gear if you have it. We were already in route & I feel for this price $2.00 plastic rain ponchos should be provided. I’m sure if we would have seen a sunset it would have made it more memorable.

Hi There, sorry you had a less than amazing experience. We do have the option to meet people closer to the state park if people happen to have their own car. And sorry about the late response with the rain. We don't often receive rain here in the desert, but that's a great idea for the ponchos and appreciate the response :)
p.s people can receive a discount if they get the tour through my website at www.sunnysideexpeditions.com - CODE: BISON

Nice guided tour in a comfy van with only 9 folks. We were lucky to see not only the bison herds (some at the roadside and others in the distance) but also antelope and mule deer. The hike to watch the sunset was not suited for anyone with trouble walking, poor balance, or unsuitable shoes but great for anyone in good health. The sunset was spectacular over the lake, framed by the boulders of the peak of the island. If you have your own binoculars, bring them because they only have 2. Our guide Craydon(?) was personable and well informed about the lake and wildlife and was safety conscious on the hike.

We had a fun time on this tour. We saw bision lots of antelope, a big family of burrowing owls & the sun set over the lake was stunning. Garth was knowledgeable & funny. It was nice that he dropped us each of at our actual hotels so we didnt have to walk in the dark.

This was a great tour to experience. I totally missed the info on the hiking part but it was totally doable even with a knee that has not fully recovered from an injury.
Cramon, our guide, was so attentive. He even took great pics. Without hesitations he offered some help as a couple of us were having difficulties descending the hill. He also managed to keep the bottled water cold (trust me, it's so much better to have cold water than room temp or even warm water from the sun especially after the hike) and he had a tray of snacks ready in the car. A couple pair of binoculars were also available for participants to use during the tour.
Sunsets in Utah is definitely something else, and watching it from the top of the hill took it up just a few more notches.
If I may have a suggestion is to have a better step stool (a two steps maybe?) to get in and out the van. It's a challenge for shorty like myself and even more so with a recently injured knee.

Blake was friendly, knowledgeable and easygoing -- plus he kept us on schedule (sunsets won't wait for laggers)! The scenery was outstanding and the wildlife awe-inspiring. The walking was minimal, but absolutely worth getting to see that sunset and the views all around.
It's also humbling to see what's happening to the Salt Lake, and anyone who visits should have their eyes opened to the fact that we must make changes, or there will be catastrophic ecological collapse. Loved this trip!

Is this actually a 5 hour tour, thus ending after 10 pm?

Yes. due to traffic and the drive was about an hour each way. It was well worth it to see the beautiful sunset.

Can you pick up from a Lehi hotel ? I’m traveling for just a couple of days and this seems to be the only tour I can fit in before my flight? Or any way I can contact the company directly?
