- swoodruf0 contributionsWONDERFUL Bike Tour with James & AaronI took my grandson, who is 13 years old, on a trip to Salt Lake City. I always try to find active things to do with him, and I found this bike tour of the city. I asked for an e-bike, and Charlie had a regular bike. We had a little trouble finding where to meet, but I called James, and he helped us find it. I see that the location is more defined now which will help. We met up in Liberty Park where we rode around and got used to our bikes. We couldn't have asked for two better guides! Aaron was learning the route and provided the bulk of the tour, while James (the owner) followed us. The entire group was just Charlie and I and the two guides. We learned SO much, and we saw things that we never would have found on our own. Both James and Aaron were very knowledgeable about the history of the city and all of the landmarks. They were also a lot of fun and very nice. I felt safe the entire time, and I was amazed at how bike friendly the city is. Thank you very much, guys, for a really fun tour of the city!Written June 29, 2023
- marianguyen18920 contributionsToo Icy, Who CaresThe bike tour could not be completed because it was too icy on the roads. I appreciated the heads up about the weather, the quick response from our guide, and that our guide was flexible to our schedule. Our flight was delayed and our guide was willing to adjust and wait accordingly to us. The customer service was great and we ended up doing a walking tour that was extremely informative. We learned about the culture of Utah-nians (inside joke) and was able to explore local photo friendly areas. Would definitely book again!Written December 2, 2022
- Bob and Jayne D0 contributionsGreat tour with a reasonable amount of physical effort.A great way to learn about this city. We rode about 8 miles in our 3 hour tour. Safety was important to James, our guide. We stayed on little traveled streets and stopped frequently to hear about the fascinating history and current happenings in SLC. The library visit at the end. was a nice way to end the day. I’m not sure why the Trip Advisor site gives a much night price than we paid.Written November 5, 2022
- jeffhW3077JD0 contributionsGreat City TourJames is very well versed on local and city history. He did a great job corralling our party safely through the streets of Salt Lake as we learned and saw sights we wouldn’t otherwise have seen/known.Written October 22, 2022

- Elise D0 contributionsBook it!This tour was the highlight of our trip! The tour guides were knowledgeable and the bike ride is a great way to see the city. Bike riders of any skill level can do it (because I haven’t been on a bike in ten years and did it).Written August 23, 2022
- LakewoodJoan0 contributionsWhat fun! What a nice way to spend an evening. James was delightful. Gilgal Garden, aka the weird Mormon sculpture garden, was a hidden gem we would never have found on our own. Also the sister wives houses. And the little treat he surprised us with at the end. We had a great time.Written August 5, 2022
- ronnyc6350 contributionsFantastic, offbeat tour of Salt Lake cityBrilliant tour, v safe, showed us sights we would never have found ourselves. James is a great guide and brought a lot of himself, his personality and experiences into it which is exactly what we wanted. Thank you for a great day!Written July 17, 2022
- HollyO3810 contributionsFun, informative ride!We really enjoyed our bike tour with James. We saw some neat spots we wouldn’t have found on her own, and he was super knowledgeable and gave lots of information. There was a little bit of an incline, but he was good about keeping us on the roads where it was a moderate ride. It was a great way to start our trip in SLC, and we got good recommendations. Would definitely recommend!Written July 13, 2022

We were in town for Iowa State vs BYU football game and wanted to see SLC before we headed to Provo. We had the best time with James on our tour! We learned about the city and experienced three very cool breweries. He also gave great recommendations for restaurants and things to do in Provo. Highly recommend!!

James and Emily were excellent guides on our trip. There were 5 on the tour and both kept the group safe and informed the entire time. We visited 3 very good breweries and got a sample at each stop - option to buy a pint on your own if you wish. An excellent way to break up a 3 hour ride. The group was friendly and we learned a lot about Salt Lake, it gave us ideas of places to check out the next day.
I would recommend this tour to anyone - you should be in reasonably good shape, it was a medium level ride, no hills. 3 hours went fast!

James is fantastic. Gave us a great tour of the city with fantastic history. They have several great brewery's and we went to 3 on our trip, as well as two of the cities parks. The city where we went was flat so would be a great trip for novice bike riders - no major hills or challenges. Would definitely recommend any of his tours.

I only have great things to say about this tour. My friend and I booked this for our last day in SLC and it was definitely a top highlight of the trip. I wish our scheduling had worked for us to do this on day one, because James is super knowledgable about the area and had some great recommendations for other breweries, bars, and restaurants we could hit up (saving those for next time)!
We got to see so much of SLC in a short amount of time, and stop by areas we never would have known to stop at on our own. Do yourself a favor and make sure this tour is on your itinerary. James won't steer you wrong!

James and Jayce (?) were fantastic guides. My brother and I did the Bike and Brewery tour during our brief visit to SLC on a road trip and we loved it.
The tour lasted about 3.5 hours and we got to see Liberty Park as well as various interesting spots in the city and visit 3 very cool, fun breweries. James had a nice laid-back but knowledgeable style. We felt he gave the right amount of info and also gave great recommendations for restaurants and bars.
Cycling around the city was relatively easy and we felt safe the whole time.
Would highly recommend! Thanks!

Our bachelorette group did the Bike and Brew tour and had a great time. We learned about the city, tried some different local beers, and enjoyed being outside in the fresh air. Would definitely recommend this for a group activity in the SLC area. James and Emily were great tour guides!

A great intro to some of SLC's history and brewery scene. James is a native of SLC and gives a lot of historical tidbits you wouldn't get anywhere else. Central SLC is quite flat, so the biking is easy. Bikes, helmets and H2O are all provided.
