Get a comprehensive look at Salt Lake City with the Big City Loop Tour, an exploratory, 3-hour bicycle ride at the 'Crossroads of the West.' Groups will ride bikes to all points of interest in the greater Downtown Salt Lake City area, both historical and current. Make multiple stops along the way for breaks, photos, and good old rest. Questions are fielded by a personal, friendly, and locally based tour guide. Stopping for a bite to eat is always an option. Use of a bicycle and helmet are included.
  • Bike cruisers and helmets are included in the price of this tour
  • Choose from several departure times throughout the day
  • Learn about local Mormon history from a guide while you bike around the city
  • Stop at essential Salt Lake City sights for photo-ops and information
What to Expect
Meet up with your bike tour guide at Liberty Park, the largest and oldest park in Salt Lake City. Take care of the basics—trying on a helmet and stashing a bottle of water on your cruiser before setting off for the ride. Gilgal Sculpture Garden, a small, hidden public city park filled with unusual statues associated with Mormonism, is your first stop. Afterward, pedal north past the historic buildings of the South Temple District. At the gateway into the mountains, City Creek Canyon, pause to enjoy the scenery . Temple Square, the site of Salt Lake Temple and Assembly Hall, is next up, where your guide tells you about the figures that were important when the Mormons first settled here. Recharge with some refreshments downtown and explore the Salt Lake City Public Library, where you admire the city views from the rooftop. Finally, head to Liberty Square, where your tour ends.

My husband and I have done several bike tours and this one was the most bizarre. The guide asked us where we wanted to go rather than it being a specific planned tour which is what we were expecting. Great to provide flexibility but not so great if you’re looking for a tour that

Dear reviewer, This is, indeed, bizarre, and I am so sorry this happened! As this ended up being an Electric-bike tour, and not a regular Salt Lake Bicycle Tour, the person who took you on the tour was not Salt Lake Bicycle Tours personnel, but instead, the E-Bike shop's personnel. He is a guide that we have previously trusted, and have a good relationship with, however, this is deeply troubling to our company, and we very much appreciate the feedback you have given us. It is Salt Lake Bicycle Tours' commitment to give everyone who comes to us an experience of excellent quality, and I appreciate that your review does tip a hat to our other good reviews.  Your frustrations, therefore, are very valid, and I want to say Thank You for your honesty, and your business. I wish things had turned out differently, as we take time to train our Bike Tour guides thoroughly, and I hope that this unfavorable experience will not stop you from taking other Bike Tours elsewhere around the world, contributing to this exciting industry. Sincerely, James Miska Founder

I would like to thank James for the very interesting tour. He knows a lot about the city, it’s history and (hidden) places to go. The small downside was that you have to be flexible with your preferred date. The tour will only start if there are 4 or more people subscribed.

We toured Salt Lake City with James, he was extremely informative with his dialog and when asked questions. The route was quite reasonable as I have not been on a bike for 3 years and this was very good. Salt Lake City is a beautiful place, wide roads, clean city and the

I called the day before to see if we could get a bike tour for the next morning for 3 of us. Usually the bike tours are a minimum of 4 so, but James was so sweet and nice he just did the tour himself with the three of us. We had a delightful time. He is so easy to talk to and

We happened to be there on Pioneer Day but James helped us navigate crowds and parade. It was fun and the bikes were comfortable. Whole family had fun.
