CNN Atlanta Studio Tour
From US$16.34
Overview

This CNN studio tour packs a ton of fun into less than an hour, so it’s easy to fit it into your travel schedule and leaves you with plenty of time to explore other areas of Atlanta, too. With special behind-the-scenes information, such as which special effects are used when, get the most out of visiting CNN Center with this guided tour.

What to Expect

This CNN Atlanta guided tour meets at CNN Center. Take your paper voucher to the tour office for a timed studio tour admission ticket.

On your tour, you’ll see how CNN news broadcasts are made. You’ll visit the main studios and newsrooms for CNN’s news channels. As your guide leads you through the building, you’ll learn about founder Ted Turner and how he created the first 24-hour news network in the US.

You’ll also take a look at a special-effects studio for creating weather maps and other on-air graphics. Learn how the video, sound, and special effects happen.

Then, you can play news anchor. Sit at a CNN anchor desk, and pose with a microphone for a souvenir photo.

Your tour ends where it started, and from there you can explore the rest of the CNN Center or visit other downtown Atlanta attractions.

Don’t waste your time and money

Very boring tour, not worth of your time and money. Would not pay a penny, if I knew in advance. Pictures are not allowed, so that they try to sell you expensive ones. You just look few studios from outside, nothing interesting to see.

We made the mistake of eating lunch first then getting the tickets. It was very popular the afternoon we arrived I suppose because it was Easter Week. So after lunch we still had to wait another hour for the next available tour. Tours run every...More

Spring Break

Our guide, Blake, was very friendly and was very knowledgeable. It was a good experience and could use a little more 'behind the scenes' action but over all it was fine. You ride a very long escalator up to start the tour and eventually to...More

Interesting in concept but not much of an execution

It is a cool concept to see behind the scenes at CNN but the tour itself doesn't offer much and can't compare with other more interactive attractions.
