  • Immerse yourself in the wilderness on an all-inclusive day trip to Olympic National Park
  • Breakfast, a picnic lunch, and snacks ensure you don’t get hungry on the trip
  • Learn about the area on guided interpretive hikes
  • Hotel pickup and drop-off and pre-booked ferry tickets make the trip hassle-free
What to expect
  • After being picked up at your hotel in downtown Seattle, climb into a luxury vehicle and begin the journey to Olympic National Park. The park features snow-covered mountains, rain forests, and the majestic Pacific coastline. There are remote beaches, plus the country’s oldest forests and one of Washington’s most dramatic mountain ranges. The Olympic Peninsula is home to some of the greatest wilderness left in the United States, including sixteen species of plants and animals that evolved here—and nowhere else. Enjoy short, interpretive nature walks throughout the day. If there is enough snow for snowshoeing, the guide will bring all the necessary equipment. Learn forest ecology and the geology of the stunning Olympic Mountains. Weather permitting, drive up to Hurricane Ridge for incredible mountain views and spot wildlife and waterfalls along the scenic routes. Visit the pristine waters of stunning Crescent Lake in the northern foothills of the Olympic Mountains. This lake was carved by glaciers, so it’s an ideal spot for those in search of natural beauty. On days when weather closes access to Hurricane Ridge, visit the sandy coastline of the Dungeness Wildlife Refuge or spend more time among the forests and waterfalls of the Elwha Valley. At midday, a gourmet picnic is provided. Please see the Itinerary section for menu information.

Loved it!
Nov 2021
I took this tour solo and it was the best day of my visit to Seattle! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and explained historical facts as we drove to the national park. He also brought a very good lunch that we enjoyed overlooking the lake. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you are traveling alone.

This was a great tour from start to finish. Our tour guide, Marty, was knowledgable, friendly and down to earth. He knew just where to take us for some great photo ops and fun facts about the area. It was a bit of a long day, but it's a bit of a drive from Seattle to the park, which is what it is.

All Inclusive Olympic Park -- small group flexibility
Oct 2021
When looking at tours in the Seattle, the first thing you notice is that there is a wide price range between tours. Evergreen is at the high end of the Price Range -- so the question is -- is it worth it?

The answer is a resounding yes!!!

First of all, this tour is smaller than most -- the van holds 10 or 11 guests. This mean that you get to know the others on the tour. It also means there is flexibility -- more on this below.

Our trip started with a hotel pick-up. The pick up was on-time and we were on our way. Our Guide Lindsey made the effort to learn everyone's names.

First stop, the Ferry -- beautiful views of the city of Seattle, And ... Breakfast. Freshly brewed coffee and pastry.

On our drive to the Park -- Lindsey told us that Hurricane Ridge (a highlight of the tour) was fogged in, and we might not make it there today. (Basically, he wasn't going to take us on an hour long drive if there was nothing to see). However, with this company, there is not a fixed-itinerary. Lindsey was able to rearrange the schedule.

So, our first stop was Fort Hayden where we got views of the Bay, and Canada.

Next off to Lake Crescent for lunch -- not a skimpy box lunch, but we were served roast chicken, quinoa salad, curried tofu and a macaroni salad. The setting was wonderful. Unfortunately -- the fog hadn't lifted, so Hurricane Ridge was looking unlikely.

Instead, we would do a nature walk/hike to a waterfall, but then, the weather cleared, so Lindsey said we could do a shorter walk, and make it to the ridge. Wa all agreed to do that.

Finally, weather clearing, we made it up to Hurricane Ridge (georgous).

Overall, what I loved about this tour, is that it was truly all inclusive (the van had extra winter coats and gloves, in case the weather turned cold!!!). The guide was knowledgable, and the company didn't cut corners.

Truly a 5* experience.

Hi Ken, Wow, thank you so much for this intimate review of your experience at Olympic National Park with Lindsay! I appreciate your thoughtful attention to what made your experience with our team different from other companies that people can travel with. It can be hard as a traveler to decide who to book with so I cant say enough how much I appreciate the time you took to explain it from your perspective. I hope we have another opportunity to travel with you again in the future! Until then, Happy Trails! Kenzi, Evergreen Escapes

Olympic National Park 101
Oct 2021
My husband and I were traveling with my sister and her husband, and decided to book a day trip to Olympic National Park. We did not have a lot of time in Seattle, and wanted to get a taste of ONP. This tour did not disappoint! Karen was our guide for the day, and did her utmost to find out what we wanted out of the tour (photograpy, nature, history), as well as drive and narrate. Both the breakfast and lunch were delicious, and the scenery was incredibly beautiful. Karen was happy to answer all of our questions., and pointed out things along the way. We were even fortunate enough to see a mama bear with her three cubs while hiking at Hurricane Ridge! The vans have a very high profile, and in addition to requiring masks when inside the van, Karen kept the air circulating and the windows cracked for those of us concerned about covid. It was a wonderful way to spend the day, and a great way to see a bit of a beautiful National Park. Thank you, Karen!

Whirlwind Olympic Park Tour
This trip is perfect for the group or couple that is trying to squeeze every last drop out of their Seattle vacation. This is a whirlwind tour of a portion of the amazing Olympic National Park. Marty was an amazing and knowledgeable guide, with tons of facts and observations about this wilderness gem.

There is a lot of driving, but it is a truly stupefyingly huge place. Time passed quickly on the road portions of the trip due to our guide’s continual patter.

The provided meal and snacks were very good and Marty seemed to have a good sense about when to bring them out (although having a perpetually hungry ten year old on the trip helped!)

It may seem a pricey, but the peace of mind you get knowing you are in good hands, with a company that really seems to care about a great entertaining and educational experience, made it all worth while.

Well worth the money!
Oct 2021
With only one day to explore Olympic National Park, this was a great way to go! We had a wonderful tour guide, Sarah, was warm, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. It was great to have someone else do the driving and take care of the details. The van was comfortable, the group was small (9) and the food provided all day was delicous. The weather cooperated and we were able to hike to a lovely waterfall, see a salmon leap the cascades, and take in the beautiful views from Hurricane Ridge. I will definitely look for this company next time I'm in Seattle!

Excellent Tour Of Olympic Peninsula
I did the Olympic National Park tour and Karen was our guide. Karen did a tremendous job with all aspects of the day. I highly recommend this tour if you want to see The Olympic peninsula, and have someone else do the driving. It’s an entire 12 hour day, with a lot of miles in a small tour van. I do not recommend this tour for small children. I would definitely do another tour with this company again.

Recommended. It was beautiful trip.
Sep 2021
The tour was overall great. The tour guide Justin Fox was nice and very knowledgeable. We wear a mask all the time when he is in the car while talking which makes me feel safe. He talked a lot during the trip, so I felt never bored during the entire trip. He explained about trees, geology, history, etc so I learned a lot, too.

There were 10 people in the group. Lunch was healthy. There were plenty of snacks and drinks.

We couldn't go up to Hurricane Ridge because of the weather. Justin told us only 30% of the time it's clear otherwise nothing is visible up there. But we definitely visited other good places like a rain forest, falls, and the ocean.

There was no serious hike like >1 hour, so this trip is good for people who want to enjoy the vacation.

I would definitely try this company for other trips.
