We went out on the city tour with Oz, who was extremely friendly and knowledgable about the area. We saw things that we couldn’t have seen without doing this tour. Oz took real trouble to show us the absolute highlights of New Orleans. Recommended.
Your New Orleans tour starts with a pickup from your hotel around 15 minutes before your tour time. Get acquainted with your guide, and then set off for your city exploration.
Since this tour is by van, it’s easier for you to access areas of the French Quarter, the 9th Ward, and the Garden District that you wouldn’t be able to on a large tour bus. Pass by Frenchmen Street, Musician’s Village, Esplanade Avenue, Bayou Saint John, 17th Street Canal, Carrollton Avenue, Tulane and Loyola Universities, and the National WWII Museum.
See beautiful architecture, city landmarks, and even spooky cemeteries with local legends attached. Your guide tells you stories about the history and culture of each area, and discusses the city’s experience of and recovery from Hurricane Katrina.
At the end of your tour, get dropped off at your hotel or in the French Quarter to explore more on your own.
