Overview
Steamboats played a major role in the 19th century on the Mississippi River, and this tour offers a whole evening of New Orleans fun aboard a paddle-wheel steamboat. Enjoy unique views of the city without having to deal with crowded streets, and save time and money by combining a cruise with a night of live jazz and Creole-style dinner (if option selected).
What to Expect
Your cruise takes off from the docks near Toulouse Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Board your ship up to an hour before your departure time. The paddle-wheel steamboat, Steamboat Natchez, is one of the last of its kind in the area.

Once out on the Mississippi River, relax on the outdoor deck or inside in the cabin, and take in views of the city in the distance. As you float down the river, enjoy jazz music performed by the Grammy-nominated Dukes of Dixieland.

If you’ve upgraded your cruise ticket to include dinner, pile your plate full of Creole-style food from the buffet table. The bread pudding is a popular dessert choice.

Your cruise ends back in the French Quarter. If you’re looking for something to do afterward, there’s a booming nightlife scene nearby.

Authentic Steamboat Cruise on the Mississippi with live music! Food is just okay...

The Natchez Steamboat is historical and authentic on the Mississippi river! It's a beautiful boat, reminiscent of more traditional times and a wonderful tourist experience. All the stewardesses/staff aboard the boat were very pleasant. The Dukes of Dixieland was a great jazz band that played...More

cruise up the Mississippi on a lovely big steam boat.

Get there early as the seats under the shaded area got taken up very quickly, the cruise was lovely we didn't opt for the food option but had a great time anyway with a few drinks instead. This would suit all ages.
