Overview
Travel like the residents of New Orleans did decades ago when you step aboard the historic Natchez steamboat on this Mississippi River cruise. After you depart from Natchez Harbor, listen to entertaining commentary on the sights that pass by as you stroll the expansive deck, enjoy live jazz music in the main dining area, and check out the churning paddle wheel in action. Upgrade to include a lunch buffet.
What to Expect

Choose a morning or afternoon departure time at booking, and then make your way to New Orleans’ French Quarter on the day of your trip to exchange your voucher for tickets at the kiosk at Toulouse Street.

Once on board, explore the historic boat's vintage accents, such as the period decorations and the museum-quality engine room. Stroll the decks to take in the Mississippi River scenery and views of the city of New Orleans passing by. For the journey out, find a seat indoors to listen to live jazz in the main dining area, or opt to sit outside for narration on passing historic sites, such as Chalmette Battlefield. The return journey features music throughout the boat.

If you opt to upgrade to the lunch option, your journey includes a buffet lunch, made up of traditional New Orleans fare.

End up back at your original starting point, with plenty of time left in the day to continue exploring the French Quarter or beyond.

I feel a bit harsh because it was fun and it's really slick and the service is good, but the food isn't great (basically canteen food) and you're sailing up and down an industrial river which does take the sheen off a little. The music...More

Two hour trip up and down the Mississippi seeing Katrina damage, viewing various ships and shipyards, a cruise ship and the New Orleans skyline. The food was very good; I went back for more, including fried fish, baked chicken, jambalaya, salad, bread pudding and iced...More

I’m not great on boats but this steam paddle boat glides on top of the water. It’s amazingly smooth! I didn’t feel queazy at any point during the 2+ hours we were on board. Loved getting some scenic pictures of NOLA from the river. Enjoyed...More

We parked in a lot and walked over. I don't remember the exact cost, but it was a pay by phone lot and we reserved a space ahead of time.
