Highlights
  • Learn about classic cocktails and New Orleans’ history in one tour
  • Try cocktails (own expense) at a handpicked selection of bars
  • Talk to talented mixologists about their cocktail-making process
  • Get info on the best places to eat and drink during the rest of your stay
What to Expect
Head to the Gray Line Lighthouse Ticket Office, centrally located in the French Quarter, to meet your guide. Please note that some finer establishments prohibit cut-off shorts or tank tops, so dress accordingly. Take off down the street and listen to your guide explain how New Orleans’ architectural style developed. Stop at several handpicked bars, each legendary in its own right, and learn the origins of some classic New Orleans cocktails, such as the Sazerac. Drinks are available for purchase, handmade by expert mixologists, at each stop. Make a stop at Antoine's Restaurant, a historic family restaurant (the oldest in the city). As your guide provides commentary on its history, you can purchase a drink from the Hermes bar. Step into its private dining rooms and explore their collection of Mardi Gras memorabilia. Return to your starting point, armed with the eating and drinking information you need for the rest of your visit.

Thank you for taking our Craft Cocktail tour with us as many times as you have. we are so thrilled you enjoy the experience and like to return for more. But this recent experience sounds like an unpleasant one to say the least. Could you please email guestservices@glnosc.com with any additional information you can provide? A reservation number, a guide's name, etc. can help us identify our shortcoming and allow us to make corrections for the future.

My wife and I had a fantastic time! Brian was very knowledgable and a compelling storyteller. Highly recommend if you are looking to try some delicious cocktails and learn about the history of the establishments and their role over the centuries in New Orleans.
