I've used WRO twice before, and we are taking our third trip this weekend. It was a great experience both times.

As someone who has NEVER canoed or kayaked, I am quite proud of myself for kicking ass and had a blast!

This trip was completed during the pandemic and my expectations of good customer service weren't high. It's with great pleasure that I'm able to post that the folks at WI River Outings were very communicative and responded to my many texts, emails and phone calls quickly and in a very friendly manner. In person, they were very helpful and worked hard to accommodate us before sending us off into the world of river water and sand with a smile and a wave.

At the end of our 3 day paddle they were at the boat landing before we loaded up the car and again were very friendly and asked questions about the trip and laughed through stories of some of our adventures.

Combine all this with they huge amount of helpful prep info they have on their website and it's easy to say they upgraded a great trip to awesome.

I have rented from WI River Outings many times and it is a great company, however, I was a little disappointed that it was never mentioned to me at the time of my reservation that there would be no shuttle service and the price was not reduced to reflect that. I know times are rough considering the current pandemic and I appreciate them protecting the safety of their employees. Great company and I will continue to use them!!

Was a blast! Only downside was we were not aware there would be a fee to stay as Muscado campground even though WRO recommended it as a place to stay. Besides that it was a truly peaceful and beautiful mini vacation.

Comfortable & easy from go. Prior to arriving we had been advised that weather could dictate the outcome of our reservation. I felt like we were kept really well informed of what to expect. In fact, I was so relieved to know if mother nature didn't cooperate I could come back in the future!

We arrived and were greeted with helpful faces. We are rookies to kayaking & canoe and the staff helped with our gear, made recommendations on what would be easiest. My husband, 12 year old daughter and I were thrilled to have the guidance of Scott & Holly to help us out.

Vehicles were so clean and well maintained along with all the equipment we used. We felt safe through out our experience coming and going.

The river itself was so beautiful and peaceful. This was a great activity for our family to enjoy together. We are really glad that we did it.

My buddy and I had some time off work and we planned a trip with WI River Outings last minute, and that worked out great! All we had to do was bring food, drinks, and camping gear. They took us right to the river, and all we had to do was float, paddle, and enjoy the beautiful scenery for 3 days. The sandbar camping was something neither of us had done before, and it was an incredible experience to have an island all to ourselves in the middle of the river. When we reached the end, all we had to do was leave our canoe on the shore and call to let them know we were done so they could pick it up. A 5/5 awesome trip, in no small part due to the excellent service of WI River Outings and the beautiful river they operate on.

P.S. THE PRICE WAS AN ABSOLUTELY GREAT DEAL, EVEN FOR 2 GUYS JUST OUT OF COLLEGE! GOOD LUCK FINDING A BETTER VACATION FOR A BETTER PRICE!

You drop your crew and stuff at the canoe dock that you start at. You drive your vehicles to Boscobel to check in. You follow the driver to drop off your vehicles at the Boscobel canoe dock. The driver takes you to your launch dock and drops off your canoe and gear. Canoe back to Boscobel and WI River Outings is there to collect their gear and you take off. It was that easy. The free ice cream coupon per canoe was a nice touch too.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. My sister and I did the day (12 hour trip) and it was a beautiful stretch of river. There were plenty of sand bars. I would like to have given 5 stars, but marked it down only for the canoe seats we paid to rent. They had zero back support. For what we received, they should had been included. I wish I had brought my own seats. I recommend investing in your own canoe seats if you do a long trip. Other than that, I found the the trip to be worth the money.

"As a large Scout troop, we've booked with WRO for the past 7 years and always have a great time. WRO makes it so easy for us, and their canoes, paddles, and life vests are far superior to the ones we get at Scout camp! Our driver, Steve, did an excellent job of coaching us on the procedures on the river, safety, and avioding problems at the Boscobel take out ramp. And the boys all loved the ice cream at the Udder Brothers!"
