Highlights
  • Enjoy spectacular Arctic Circle views while someone else drives
  • Get beyond Fairbanks to see remote Alaskan landscape
  • Round-trip transportation in a climate-controlled van for a comfortable trip
  • Snacks, drinks and the stew is offered for free.
What to Expect
Meet a guide at your Fairbanks hotel and then board a climate-controlled van for the 200-mile (322-kilometer) trip across the Arctic Circle. You’ll be traveling the Dalton Highway, first built as a supply road for the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, and you’ll sometimes see the massive pipeline system along the way. Snacks and drinks are provided on the road, and there’s lots to spot from the vehicle, including native wildlife and gorgeous scenery. When you reach the Arctic Circle, stretch your legs, snap some photos, and enjoy an Arctic picnic of beef stew and a sandwich (vegetarian option also available). Here, spend some time learning about indigenous Alaskan cultures, before returning to Fairbanks with an official Arctic Circle certificate.

Compared to the other guided tours that I have done over the passed years, I would rate this one as maybe an ok tour. It is over priced for what you get.

It was a great adventure thanks to our guide Jake who obviously loved Northern Alaska and tried to make the landscape the star of the experience . The tour is long, but worth it as it introduces those of us from the lower 48 to a part of the world we have only seen in travel

The listing included a lunch of homemade stew and an official Arctic Circle certificate and we received neither. We could look past the stew but one of the main reasons we booked this trip was for the Arctic Circle certificate. Our tour guide was knowledgeable about the area and

Thanks for letting us know. Guides are human, too. And, although in possession of the certificates, simply forgot to distribute them. Sometimes, things accidentally get overlooked, and we apologize. Certificates will be mailed this week. If you don't receive it, please advise. As you can see, most of our Arctic Circle Tours receive 5-star reviews. We are happy to fix anything that is not up to our usual standard.

This was an amazing trip. The best fall colors I have ever seen in my life is on the Dalton Highway. There are multiple scenic views along the road. The tour guide ,Ms Lynley Pair was very friendly and the hot stew she served at the arctic circle was fantastic.

I've been trying to make it above to Arctic Circle for a long time, but failed for various reasons in the past including a mechanical failure of a ferry in Iceland and having to cancel a trip to Svalbard due to COVID-19. The third attempt was a charm thanks to Alaska Wildlife
