Overview

Cruise the Savannah riverfront on a boat tour that fits your interests and schedule. From brunch to lunch to dinner and even sunset and sightseeing cruises, there is a cruise for every traveler. Some tours are fully narrated, while others focus on the sights as they drift by. Indoor and outdoor seating is available, as are food and drinks (included on some cruises), with a cash bar available.

What to Expect

Meet about 30 to 60 minutes before your cruise time to exchange your voucher at the Savannah Riverboat Ticket Office at 9 East River Street.

There are multiple cruise options on the Savannah River Queen available. Depending on your choice, you will embark on a lunch cruise, brunch cruise, dinner cruise, sunset cruise, sightseeing cruise, party cruise, or gospel cruise.

Once boarded, choose your seat, either heading indoors to the climate-controlled dining and observation deck, or outdoors to the upper deck for sunbathing. On most tours, you’ll hear city history and fun facts about Savannah as you float and take in the sights, although a few tours do not include narration.

Iced tea, lemonade, soft drinks, or coffee are included with all dining cruises, and some cruises feature live entertainment. All cruises include an open bar.

Your boat returns to the original departure point at the end of your cruise.

Good way to see and learn about the river and port.

We enjoyed viewing and learning about the river and its history both recent and past. Tour took just over an hour and we also had our picture taken upon boarding. Military discount is available though not advertised. We did not have lunch. Only negative was...More

Boring

Just returned from Savannah took this cruise on 8/10 the 1:00 sailing . This was the most boring excursion I have ever been on. All the Narator could talk about was the ships and shipping industry. Big waste of money

Service was great

Visiting Savannah from PA, we did the Riverboat cruise brunch and sightseeing. Our waiter John was great! Very friendly, informative and nice, he mentioned he’s been working there since he was 15, he is an older man now, but his age didn’t slow him down....More

Had fun, but was disappointed

Atmosphere of the riverboat was friendly. The dinner tour provided a tasty buffet; however, it was not all-you-could-eat. Food ran out quickly and was not refilled. When asking about a window seat, it would cost an additional $10/person. Live "band" was one man. Service was...More

We purchased tickets for the luncheon cruise on the Georgia Queen near the dock the day of our cruise. We were given a 10% discount because my husband is a veteran. The luncheon is a buffet and they seat you according to your ticket. The...More

You can buy them in their office before the cruise or you can buy them ahead of time. I purchased them over the phone because it was a Christmas Eve cruise and I wanted to make sure we had tickets. Either way you have to go... More

I took the daylight cruise like Sandra. The best thing for you to do is to call Riverboat Cruises in Savannah at 912-232-6404 and ask. If you go to their website, they have an email address you can write to, but calling... More
