Highlights
  • Cruise through Philadelphia on a guided Segway tour of the city center
  • A guide shares the history and points out sights you might miss on your own
  • Photos of the trip are included in the price
  • Pre-trip training makes the tour accessible to first-time riders
What to expect
  • Why ride when you can glide? Riding on a Segway isn’t rocket science, but it’s important to know how to maneuver one, especially gliding around a large metropolitan area like downtown Philly. So this tour begins with a brief but thorough training session to make sure everyone feels comfortable and knowledgeable about their Segway. Additionally, all passengers must weight between 99 and 300lbs (44 and 136kg) to participate. With the training out of the way, it’s time to hit the open road. If you have opted for the shorter Segway tour around Philadelphia, cruise a loop from the Historic District and Penn’s Landing to the Delaware River and South Street neighborhoods. Check out over 15 attractions, like the historic First Bank of the United States, the 9th Street Italian Market — the oldest and largest outdoor market in the United States — the folk art environs of the Magic Gardens and the various churches attended by William Penn, where the Quaker leader (who fought against religious oppression) practised what he preached. On the longer Segway tour option, continue along the loop, passing by Elfreth's Alley, America's oldest continuously inhabited residential street, and the Betsy Ross House, believed to be the very site where the the first American Flag was sewn. Glide by Independence Hall, birthplace of the U.S. Declaration of Independence and Constitution, and the magnificent homes of Society Hill. Continue on to the Avenue of the Arts, Rittenhouse Square and Fitler Square before traveling along the Schuylkill River to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the famous stairs from the movie Rocky. Finally, it’s off to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and the Rodin Museum before winding through some of the city’s back streets, en route to the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and Chinatown, where the tour comes to an end.

Segway of Old City Philly
Our guide was Sophia who is a native Philadelphian attending Penn. Besides being very personable, she was very informative and extremely safety conscientious especially in dealing with Philly drivers. The tour was a great way to see old city Philly while Sophia gave background info and historical tidbits along the ride. Our first time riding a Segway and we highly recommend the tour. We look forward to doing the cheesesteak tour in the Spring.

Barry was our guide and he was terrific. He was very patient with our small group of four and made sure we were all comfortable using the Segway before we headed out on our tour. He also was very attentive during the tour. Highly recommend.

Fun way to see Philly
“D” was our guide. We enjoyed his enthusiasm. We are a couple in our 70s. We had no trouble at all learning to use the Segway. D’s instructions were excellent and confidence built quickly. We travelled with earbuds that enabled us to hear D’s commentary the whole way. A fun adventure, for sure.

Terrific tour with a great host! Uaphi kept us moving at a great pace, educated us about the sights of the city and courteously navigated traffic and pedestrians. A great experience made amazing by the pictures taken by our guide, shared at the end of the trip. Fun and informative!

Philadelphia Segway Tour -

What a GREAT way to see the city.

Our Guide, Barry was EXCELLENT! Really knowledgeable about the City's history and great at conveying that while keeping us safe and organized on the tour.

His instructions on the Segway were great and he was able to keep an eye out for everyone in our group (8 people must have stretched a 1/10 of a mile), IMPRESSIVE!!!!

THANKS!

Rolling Through Philly!
Aug 2021 • Couples
Amazing experience! Our guide Mike created a safe, fun, informative, and awesome tour through Philly. Because of the rain, we were provided with ponchos, but thankfully did not need them for the entire two hours. My husband and I enjoyed every minute… and because the rest of the group canceled because of weather, we were lucky enough to get a private tour! Mike took lots of pictures and always made sure we were comfortable and safe. We wore headsets so we could easily hear him. The entire experience was first-rate. Thank you!

Mike was great and very informative. The Segway was easier to ride than I expected and I highly recommend this as THE way to see a lot of Philly in a relatively short time frame.
