Overview
Drink your way through Philadelphia history on a 4.5-hour walking tour and pub crawl through the heart of Old City, City Hall, and Center City Philly. See some of Philly’s key landmarks, from Ben Franklin’s house to the U.S. Mint, ride the Philadelphia subway, then hit some local bars for happy hour. This 4.5-hour history and beer tour includes four beers, a snack, and entrance fees at sites along the way, and it’s limited to 12 people for a personalized experience.
What to Expect
Make your way to a central location, then follow a local guide on a “best of” route through Old City, starting with the Betsy Ross House, where you’ll hear about the origins of the American flag.

Weave through Old City’s charming back alleys, take in America’s oldest, continually-operated residential street, and soak up the trendy atmosphere in the vibrant neighborhood. Pass by Ben Franklin’s house on your way through Philly’s Historic District, with views of Independence Mall, the National Constitution Center, and the U.S. Mint.

Continue across the Mall to the President’s House Site, where both Washington and Adams lived when they were Presidents of the United States, then pass the site of the Liberty Bell (with the possibility to duck inside for a photo stop).

When it’s time for happy hour, hop a train into modern Philadelphia to visit a few bars for beers, choosing from the oldest continually operating bar in Philly, a classic dive, an Irish pub, and a modern beer café. This tour concludes after drinks, in Center City Philly.

Great Info and Time

Our Guide Evan did an amazing job showing us around and great information. She was excited about everything, and super out going! Had a great time and the drink at the end was a perfect touch!

Not quite what we expected

The guides are knowledgeable and very friendly but it wasn't quite what we expected. We thought we would see some history, visit a pub, see more history, visit another pub etc etc.; What happened was 2 1/2 hrs of walking history and 2 hrs of...More

We're disappointed to hear you didn't receive the tour you expected. There's so much to cover in the historic district, several private institutes in which are ticketed and require much more time than would allow for our guides to really show you past and present...More

Thanks to Marianne and Vince!

We had a great time with our guides Marianne (history) and Vince (happy hour). They were both friendly, welcoming and knowledgable. The group size was small and we feel it was money well-spent to see the history and hoppy side of Philly.
