From the initial email contact with Tom through the post-tour text with selfies from our day, this was a top notch experience from start to finish! Our group of 4 (2 moms and 2 young adults) asked for a tour highlighting the parts of New York that were harder to explore on our

Thank you, Kirsten, or should I say "mille grazie!" Wow, I'd like to write such a review of your review, because I was having a good time and fun with Team Kirsten all along the way, from Sullivan Street bakery to The Brooklyn Heights Promenade (and that weird, "biblical" weather event that descended up us even as we were looking at the disappearing skyline - that was unforgettable, and we have photos to prove it!) Never, ever have I enjoyed a hot chocolate with cookies more than that. But at the risk of repeating myself, the best tours always come down to the company on-board, and that was certainly the case for us that day. Your "team" brought the energy onto the van, all I had to do was drive, and talk, and talk some more. It was a memorable day for all of us, and I am thrilled that the timing worked out to meet a few owners (and authors!) along the way - that was fortunate. And I am thrilled that the food stops were up to NYC standards and all expectations were met - and especially that the elusive Italian cheese was tracked down. It seems like we had a little magic working in our favor that day. It wasn't me, it was us! Thank you for a memorable day, God bless! Tom

We really cannot say enough wonderful things about Tom Orzo. He contacted us weeks before our tour to find out what our interest were and where we might want to go. We were picked up in front of our hotel in his Mercedes Bus which was luxurious and huge and we were only two

Wow, Marquelon, what can I say? (I'll start with a big "thank you") The tour was fun for me too, especially all the food stops we made, beginning with The Little Pie Co. - a favorite - who doesn't like Apple Pie? But traveling around town, seeing the sights - large and small - and making strategic food stops along the way...nothing not to like! I am already looking forward to your return and our next tour - ALWAYS more to see and do - and taste!

We recently visited New York and signed up for the New York City Food Lovers Tour with Sterling Tours to have a private, 4-hour food tour of Manhattan. Our guide was Tom Orzo who has many years of experience as a tour guide, and who worked as a baker for 20 years. We cannot say

THANK YOU, LOANNE! for your kind and thoughtful comments, but ESPECIALLY for understanding the last minute problem with our touring van that took it off the road temporarily.. I am so grateful that you both accepted the option to ride in my car for an extended tour. I felt it was the least I could do to try and somehow make up for the late change-up. You and Joe were so gracious and understanding. It's true that some problems are outside our direct control - so your flexibility allowed us to have a great time touring NYC, especially your old neighborhoods! One benefit was navigating the busy streets in the car was a bit easier and definitely quicker - which allowed us to cover more ground. I felt I owed it to you both to go the extra mile. Which allowed for some extra touring! I'm glad you enjoyed the addition of Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Heights Promenade - with that awesome view of NY Harbor and the new waterfront landscape of Brooklyn Bridge Park. Thanks again to you both for your kind words and wonderful review! Warm regards, Tom

THANK YOU, JULIE! Wow, an awesome review! You really summed up our experience, from long before your arrival in the States, to the actual day of the tour! By the time we met, you're right, it did seem like old friends! But that's also because you were so engaged and committed beforehand. I always believe a little pre-trip homework goes a long way - and you did A LOT of homework! I was just trying to keep up. You said sooo many nice things about our day together, I won't reiterate. I do want to say that touring with you and your "birthday guy" Lewis was fun - but you two are raising a wonderful young lady. I am inspired by her love of The Beatles - a teenager! It was fun going out to Queens, and The Unisphere, and especially reminiscing about my own experience seeing them LIVE! in their last NYC appearance so close by at old Shea Stadium. (Thanks for recommending the Ron Howard documentary: "Eight Days A Week") Please give my warm regards to Lewis and a big hug to your beautiful girl, Siena. Thank you! Tom

Thank you, Claudia! and Christoph too! I appreciate your kind words. And I have to agree, there was something "perfect" about our day on Long Island. All the elements came together. On a quiet Tuesday morning in April, we had the great big Unisphere all to ourselves. And then for the long drive to The Hamptons...the same thing. The village of Southampton...the drive around the BIG mansions and estates...the Springtime foliage. And the delicious lunch at Rumba, with water views. Oh my! And thank you to "navigator" Christoph for finding the scenic route back to NYC, along the South Shore and the amazing Atlantic Ocean beaches and sand tunes. Thank you for getting me out of the City for, yes, a perfect day!
