Overview
The High Line park and Greenwich Village are undoubtedly two of New York City’s greatest attractions. Rather than take them on alone, get an expert to give you an insider’s view of these amazing sites. This 3.5-hour tour covers the High Line, an elevated railway line that has been turned into a park, and then moves on to explore the food scene in historic Greenwich Village, a neighborhood once filled with bohemian artists and now the haunt of celebrities and models.
Highlights
  • Visit the High Line, a public park built on a former elevated railway
  • Go with a guide: Learn neighborhood secrets many locals don’t know
  • Explore Greenwich Village through tastings at authentic New York eateries
  • Small group size of eight people or fewer ensures a personalized experience
What to Expect
Meet your guide at the High Line, an elevated public park built on an abandoned railway above the streets of Chelsea. As you walk south, your guide points out buildings by renowned architects and public art installations, and lets you in on neighborhood secrets most visitors never hear. Keep an eye out for the new Whitney Museum.
At the end of the park, descend into Greenwich Village, one of New York’s oldest neighborhoods. As you walk through the charming streets, you fill up on food from classic New York food—pizza, bagels, donuts, and more—from six authentic eateries.
Rather than hunting for hidden gems on your own, the guide recommends jazz clubs, independent bookstores, and coffee shops loved by locals. The tour ends a block away from Washington Square Park, the perfect place to rest your legs.

I would say that this isn’t really a gluten free tour but I didn’t ask that question. There was pizza, sandwiches and cannoli which are pretty gluten heavy!

The High Line will be much more crowded on a weekend. If you don’t mind the crowds, no difference.
