Highlights
Explore the historic streets of Lower Manhattan on this guided walking tour
Experience the commingling of diverse cultures in Little Italy and Chinatown
Stroll the Cast Iron Historic District in SoHo, and see historic buildings
Meet-up in Spring Street Park, steps from the Spring Street subway stop
What to expect
Meet the tour guide and group in SoHo to begin this walking tour of three of New York City’s most interesting neighborhoods—SoHo, Little Italy, and Chinatown. Walking toward Greene Street, see the site of the Manhattan Well Murder, the first recorded homicide case in New York City and the first murder trial in American history to be fully documented by a court stenographer. This well is currently in the basement of the Manhattan Bistro restaurant. Needless to say, there are a lot of requests to see the basement here. Much of SoHo includes the Cast Iron Historic District, which consists of 26 blocks and approximately 500 buildings, many incorporating cast-iron architectural elements. Look out for celebrities in this area as SoHo is a favorite spot for movie stars and models. In Little Italy, listen to stories about mobsters like John Gotti, plus the troubles Italian immigrants faced when they first arrived here. The name Little Italy doesn’t really apply today. It was once known for its large population of Italians, but the neighborhood only has a few Italian stores and restaurants remaining now. Just a few blocks away is Chinatown, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Manhattan and home to one of the largest concentrations of Chinese people in the Western Hemisphere. Chinatown provides a fascinating cultural experience. Finally, visit the site of Five Points, a spot that gained international notoriety as a disease-ridden, crime-infested slum in the 1800s, before you end the tour in Columbus Park. Get a chance to sample some of the local foods in these historic neighborhoods.

Wonderful NYC experience
Apr 2021 • Family
We were lucky enough to have Liz as our tour guide, she was amazing. So personable, entertaining and animated. She knew little cool details about the places she took us to and recommend places to eat and have yummy treats. Our group were women only and at the end of our tour she took the time to email us separately and remembered details of our short conversation. I had never encountered such experience in any my of my travels. I highly recommend this tour, it's such a great way to experience NYC in whole different level. on another note, i had heard that NYC people were rude, but I experienced nothing but kindness and good experiences.

Had a blast!
Hadn’t spent time in these neighborhoods before and wanted a good orientation. This was the ticket! Liz was wonderful and so helpful. We got a great walk through of all three areas, learned some history, took in the culture (on the surface, of course), and had some great snacks along the way! A great way to spend a couple of hours...thoroughly enjoyed it!

Jenn was my tour guide and she was so energetic and personable. She really made the tour fun! She had such a great knowledge about the history of the neighborhoods and had some pretty interesting stories to share. This was definitely one of my top tours and I'm super happy I was able to experience it for my 1st trip to NYC.

An A++ tour, even in a pandemic!😃
Oct 2020 • Friends
What a fantastic tour with a GREAT guide! Gabby was wonderful and even during a pandemic with masks and distancing our group was able to have a great time and learn a lot. We thought our feet would be tired, but it was just the right amount of stopping to learn about the area and walking through the beautiful neighborhoods. We learned SO much and were super impressed with Gabby's knowledge and excitement for the history of this great city!! Thanks for an A++ tour! I would absolutely recommend this to those locals and out of towners that what to learn more about these unique neighborhoods as well as get great advice on where to eat, shop, and things to see! 😍

Informative and fun!
Sep 2020
This was a really fun informative tour, and Gabby was an excellent tour guide! The amount of ground covered was impressive - three entirely unique neighborhoods each with a fascinating past. The pace was great and the tour seemed to touch on a little bit of everything, along with food recommendations which was much appreciated.
