About the operator

- K6096XKgrahamc0 contributionsWashington DC day tripWell if you want a whistle stop trip of Washington this certainly tops the list. 5 hours there and 5 hours back with 4 hours looking at the sights wasn’t really my thing. The White House is just not what you think also. Tour guide was ok but didn’t keep much of a close eye on his guests. We ended up having to find our own way to the top of the Arlington Cemetery. My opinion go to Washington for about 4 nights.Written September 14, 2024
- Q9992BCpault0 contributionsWashington day tripThe trip was good, we got to see lots of Washington in a short space of time which was the plan. It was a bit disappointing we didn’t see the ‘main’ (dome) side of the White House as the bus driver said the traffic was too busy to go down there.Written August 18, 2024
- FellowTraveler6723830 contributionsWashington DC TripWe thoroughly enjoyed Washington DC. Time allocated to each of the areas we went to was sufficient. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passed on loads of information. Thanks for a great day.Written July 13, 2024
- Kalam_Lais0 contributionsIf you are at all interested in learning and experiencing the Amish way of life then book right now!Philadelphia should not be missed - if for nothing else then all the history at least. After all it is the US 'birth place' and also the capitol prior to DC. The tour after visiting the historic side - which included a visit to the first house of congress, takes you to the famous `Rocky ` steps - a must for all the fans! The absolute highlight for us was our visit to Amish Country and the family farm where you get a buggy ride around the farmland get to see the farm animals up close. We got a chance to speak to the residents of the farm and discuss the Amish way of life. It was informative, educational and above all adventurous. Surprisingly self sustaining community in the middle of no where. Amongst many produce they make fresh cheese in the farm which was delicious. If you are at all interested in learning and experiencing the Amish way of life then book right now!Written July 9, 2024

- Cruiser6922800 contributionsExtraordinary sights and incredible value !Having just visited the world’s second largest canyon (Fish River Canyon, Namibia) in March, I was keen to visit the Grand Canyon, while my memories were still fresh. Usually a self drive tourist with a 4x4 and roof tent, this guided bus tour, allowed me to sit back and exclusively take in the grandeur of the sights. Selig, now who has not seen The Cars Movie three gazillion times and would not want to acquaint themselves with the source of inspiration for Radiator Springs ? The Grand Canyon, Antelope Canon Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park - Each so unique and incredibly beautiful! This is one of the most spectacular, trips I have the privilege of participating in. Our tour guide Mark, clearly passionate and enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge was a walking encyclopedia covering geology, history and sharing his thoughts and opinions on a variety of interesting topics concerning the environment. When quizzed, he even answered some questions I had on culture and anthropology. Mark and his assistant Walter, were both attentive to our needs and comfort. The value add was extraordinary, I highly recommend this tour operator. Incidentally, they even came to the rescue by locating a sentimental baseball cap that I left on the bus 5 Star ⭐️ +Written June 19, 2024
- Li_and_Vi0 contributionsGreat national park itinerary but mediocre tour implementationConceptually Empire Vacations' 3-day tour is definitely great: covering the significant distances to visit Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion Canyon without needing to worry about driving and itinerary details is a significant benefit. The potential availability of guides covering multiple languages would seem to indicate good tour design. Actual implementation of the tour, however, was somewhat mediocre. Communication was not great. Achieving booking, deposit and final payment took multiple emails. Empire Vacations did not provide any means of contacting the tour guides or for participants to be contacted, despite a reasonable assumption that almost everyone would have a mobile phone. Throughout the tour, timing was abysmal. On all three days, toilet stops and lunch stops were much longer than necessary. A long time was also spent at a Route 66 junk gift shop and a native Indian craft shop. Consequently, the key stops at the National Parks were more rushed than needed to be the case. The start in Las Vegas was more than an hour late. Every stop would run at least 10 or 15 minutes longer than indicated, not helped by the tour guide Janet repeatedly indicating that she did not mind people being late - so they were. The net effect was that by the time that the overnight stops were reached, any food outlets were closed or closing. There were no issues with two overnight accommodation venues. As the main guide, Janet was friendly but the level of her trip commentary was poor. Little to no effort was made in preparation for each of the national park sites. For example, at Zion Canyon a number of the shuttle stops and tracks were closed. One would have expected the guides to consult the park website and let the tour participants know what was available and what was closed, but they failed to do this. It was also unfortunate that the tour was undertaken with a truck type bus that was particularly prone to unpleasant vibration and noise and at times seemed to be travelling more slowly than other traffic, although there were no issues with the driver. Despite the particularly poor running of this Empire Vacations tour, I am still giving it a "very good" rating. Each of the canyon stops were great to visit and the overall cost of the tour was worthwhile.Written June 12, 2024
- 191chintamanik0 contributionsWorth for a quick 2 day tour of the East coast from New York .Washington plus PhilladelphiaWell organised tour of Philli,WashDC and the Amish County. The tour guide was very informative and made the journey interesting . It was a good insight into the early American History with the impressive personalities of the founding fathers of USA. The overnight stay at Virginia at the Confort Inn was very comfortable with spacious room after a hectic travel on the first day. The coach driver was also patient in handling the rush hour traffic at all the major cities along the route.Written May 25, 2024
- Weezie1000 contributionsGreat one day trip to DC!We wanted a day out of NYC on this trip and have always fancied Washington DC so booked it. It didn’t disappoint, it’s an early start but worth it. Iris, our travel guide was great, filling us in with lots of information on the coach and also whilst visiting the scheduled stops. Really glad we did it - highly recommended!Written May 23, 2024
- Alison T0 contributionsRushed and over expensiveToo rushed in Philadelphia had looked forward to seeing the city no free time. Multi languages on bus confusing and distracting. As for the “buggy ride” in Amish county turned out to be a rickety farm cart carrying 20 folks around their farm, not as advertised…. I would not recommend this tripWritten May 1, 2024
- E6744RAscottc0 contributionsGreat trip, a slice of historyWasn’t sure whether to book this as length of coach trip put me off a bit, however I am so glad I did. It’s a long day but if you’re tired from exploring New York you can sleep on the coach. You will see all the sights and lots of explanation from our guide Andreas who was very knowledgeable and interacted well. Washington is small so you can see everything you wish to in a day unless you want to visit museums etc. Lincoln memorial and White House the highlight for me.Written February 25, 2024
- F8281IOmichelleg0 contributionsGreat experienceMy husband and I booked this trip to Washington DC because I'm in love with history. It was an informative and organized trip. To anyone considering whether they should book this trip or not, you should. Not only was this trip extremely fun and organized but we saw so much in such little time. We got to the bus around 6:10, then we went to the restroom that was in the bus terminal. When we returned we met our tour guides and then settled into our seats. We had a whole day exploring New York City the day before so we were extremely sleepy. We slept for most of the ride, then we woke up in Delaware. We stopped and ate a little bit here, we were there for roughly 30-45 minutes. We got back on the Bus and got to all of the scheduled tour spots. Yeah, you're gonna be on a bus often, but you will have a lot of time to walk around the sites, and take lots of pictures. Almost everything is free except for food, but make sure you eat at the National Air and Space Museum. We got back to New York around 9, there was no traffic on the way back which was nice. It all depends on the day. We went on a Friday, then we took the subway and got back to our hotel around 9:30. The meeting spot is basically in Times Square, so there are a lot of places where you could eat late at night. We ended up just ordering takeout at our hotel and rested.Written November 20, 2023

- 316LeeP0 contributionsLong day…….but a great taste of Washington DCMeeting point 6.30am. Drop off 9 pm. Long day. Most spent on the bus. Having said that totally worth it. Being from Australia, we hadn’t originally intended to go to Washington as it was too far out of the way, but after seeing this excursion advertised we thought it was an opportunity to tick a lot of boxes. Guide Armin was excellent very informative and entertaining. Was great to experience the major stops, Arlington Cemetery inc JFK’s grave, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam & Korean memorials. Capital Building, The White House, Lunch at the Aerospace Museum. Awesome to see all these iconic places personally, which are so familiar to everyone. Downside no fault of the operators or guides……was t selfishness and entitlement of others not listening to instructions about returning on time at the stops……not only making the day longer but those who did return on time were left sitting on the bus waiting and unfortunately there were the same people doing it. Other than that a great experience.Written October 2, 2023
- sharand3720 contributionsHampton tourWe enjoyed our trip to the Hamptons despite the very overcast and windy weather. There were several language groups on the bus so it was a bit annoying trying to listen to the English while the other guide was also speaking. The guide was very pleasant but not very informative- she did have to translate into German as well. The winery wasn’t ready for us and kept us waiting and the gentleman was not very friendly. The outlet shopping was of no interest to us - we would have rather spent more time in the Hamptons. We would have liked to have had some photo stops along the way.Written September 27, 2023

I am a part-time native New Yorker and always wanted to see Niagara Falls but didn't want to make the long drive myself from NYC, so I booked this tour. First complaint: We ended up sitting in front of a very raucous family shouting among themselves, conversing on their phones without the use of earbuds. Their rudeness really degraded our trip, as well as that of others who were seated nearby. We had two guides - we found it difficult to hear what the English-speaking guide, Tom, was saying because of the constant commotion behind us. We tried our best (they were not English speaking) to ask them to please keep down the noise, to no avail. The guides did make a general announcement about being considerate to fellow passengers, also with no impact. The guides admitted to us that no one wanted to sit near that family. Finally, for the return trip, we quite literally begged both guides (Spanish speaking and English speaking) and the driver to speak DIRECTLY to this family and to inform them that the other travelers were complaining about them. We did not want to spend another 9 hours listening to their raucous conversations. The guides did NOT do so. Down to his last nerve, my husband finally turned around and yelled loudly at this family. The guides came over to us and tried to defuse the situation but still did not speak directly with this family. Their solution: put my husband and I on a bus for non-English speakers, or we could sit apart. We opted for the latter, which is found the lesser of the two unsatisfactory choices. (Interestingly, in talking with the passengers individually after this confrontation my husband was congratulated by them for finally being the one with sufficient nerve to confront them. He became a bit of a local hero for the duration of the ride. Anyway, I greatly resent the reluctance of the "authority figures" on this trip to ensure the serenity and enjoyment of all and their appeasement of this disruptive family. If I wanted this kind of aggravation, I could just ride the NYC subway during rush hour and it would cost a lot less then $640 we paid for the two of us to be harrassed for 20 hours in a bus. Second complaint: I had been told that the bus was equipped with a bathroom. We were told by our guide at the outset to refrain from using the bathroom, and if we did, only to use it to urinate, because anything else would make the bus stink. Well, apparently some poor soul had to use the bathroom to defecate, and true to their word, the bus smelled to high heaven. All in all highly unacceptable experience for any amount of money. Would not recommend this company under any circumstances. They need to better train their guides in customer management and service, and if they advertise the availability of a bathroom on the bus, there should be truth in advertising! I will give kudos to our very nice driver - he got stuck cleaning out the bathroom after the incident and I am grateful for his careful driving that got us to and from safely. Other than that, I have nothing good to say.

We didn’t like the tour . I understand that my friend has Viet Nam passport with USA visa so She might has to stayed on the American side. But I have USA passport. I didn’t get offered to cross to Canada side. We got dropped off early at the hotel. The next morning we got picked up at 10:00 am. Pretty much doing nothing beside we got drop off at the outlet for like an hour . Also the tour skipped couple highlights spots like finger lake, also the winery . ... the tour is not cheap. Both of us paid $660. Not worth it. I won’t recommend it.

This was a long bus trip though plenty of breaks were provided and the tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The Falls themselves are very commercial and overdeveloped, and we were unlucky with the weather as there was a thick fog on our second day meaning visibility was non-existant. It was good to get out of New York for a few days though and see a different side of the US.

My husband and I took the tour from New York to Niagara Falls by Empire Vacations.
The bus was clean and well maintained and the journey was very comfortable with adequate stops and rest room breaks in between. We visited the Watkins Glen state park on the way and were absolutely enthralled by it's beauty. We only hiked down as our bus let us down at the top and again came down to receive us. The hike itself was not at all strenuous and there were handrails everywhere.
I read a lot of reviewers saying that flying to Niagara is the best option but I would state otherwise. The countryside was very scenic and we had visited in the autumn season so Upstate New York was very picturesque. Niagara Falls was absolutely magnificent and the hotel we stayed in was the closest to the falls. We visited the crossings premium outlets on our way back.
Special thanks to our tour guide Brian who was the best. I would recommend this tour to everyone.

The Good - our guide Bruno was enthusiastic, entertaining and informative and our driver Harold also did his job very well in sometimes tricky conditions. Niagara Falls are of course well worth visiting. The outlet shopping was good but akin to being in a TV game show when trying to visit multiple shops in just over an hour.
The Bad - the bus trip is very, very, very long and having dual language guides means there is a LOT of talking on the microphone. The travel lodge accommodation is basic and dated albeit a welcome respite from the cold.
The Ugly - I found the tour company to be wilfully duplicitous in our dealings and less than trustworthy. We paid the same 4x adult price for myself, my wife and 2 children but they chose to squeeze us into one room (and save on an extra room for themselves). This was despite my request for adjoining/interconnected separate rooms. The operator steadfastly refused to accommodate our request for 2 rooms (despite us paying full price) and instead suggested we had paid a reduced price to stay in one room (categorically not true). Despite booking via TripAdvisor they were also of absolutely zero assistance (massive thumbs down for them, they provide no effective method to even contact them).
If I had my time over I would fly to Canada and travel to the falls from there. It is easily the best side for viewing and the travelling would be far far less exhausting than the bus tour and you are missing nothing of note. I would definitely avoid this particular tour operator as I found them dishonest and untrustworthy.

Thank you for taking the time to review our trip.
In order to get two rooms we need to be advised in advance by agency who is selling our products.
It can happen that in your case information was not forwarded in the right way.
Will definitely look into it.
Thank you!

This would be a 5 star rating given the venue and spectacle offerred. The tour includes a visit to the idyllic and picturesque Watkins Glen which serves also as a welcome break in the 8 hour plus journey from NYC to Niagara Falls. It is a long long journey both ways and on board entertainment should be mandatory. This was provided only on the return trip by way of 2 films on the bus monitors. The main attraction of course are the Falls themselves which are beyond spectacular as Nature made them. The walk from Goat's island to the boat for the Maiden of the Mist experience provides for vantage views while the trip itself is really great fun. Hotel accommodation was very adequate.
The snag as far as we were concerned was that we booked and paid our tour with English guide which was confirmed and tickets issued as such. Once embarked, just before leaving, the most affable Ettore called out my name from his list and in Italian asked if I understood Italian. He said he really hoped that I did because he did not speak any English at all. Our companions on the tour bus consisted of 48 Italians. As it happens I do speak Italian, my wife less so. The point being however that there were several times when the guide had important instructions for us, some even related to our safety and well being. Although we understand Italian, our preference is by far the English language....and that was what we paid a pretty penny to have.
From this aspect some disappointment since we did not get what we paid for and no attempt to make good or even apologise was made. Hence it should be 3 star but since we did enjoy ourselves I give 4 star.

Its an experience that you cannot get from video.
The night view and the boat ride offers a unique experience that's worth the trip. Seeing in live the thundering outpour of such big volume of water at such height is a once in a lifetime experience to feel the force of nature.

Well worth it. The guides and driver were professional and the itinerary was great. The falls were beautiful from both sides, there were plenty of rest stops along the way, accommodation was good and within a 15 to 20 min walking distance. Shopping trip on the way back was only 90 mins and could have been longer. The guides translated to many languages so it is suitable for all.

This is a really long coach trip but so worth it. We had excellent guides (Stefanos and Rhys) and driver, Mario was outstanding. The journey both ways is broken up with several stops including a waterfall walk at Watkins Glen. The hotel at Niagara Falls was nothing wonderful but we really just slept there and the bed was great. Niagara Falls is everything and more than can be imagined, nature at its finest. We had enough time to see the Falls from every angle and the Maid of the Mist tour is an experience I will never forget. Highly recommend this tour.

The tour was even better than advertised. The bus was comfortable, our guide Lucia was very attentive. We stopped at all the advertised places on the way to Niagara Falls and returning, since our group managed to follow the set timelines, which is a key for such trip. We spent fm 5 pm until 7 am at Canada side of Niagara Falls, which was a must due to great views and busy warm August nightlife there. Next day visit to Goat Island and trip by the boat (the Maid of the Mist) during 7 till 10 am was great again. It was worth to start to see Niagara Falls one day, then to stay at nice hotel and complete the visit next morning/noon, enabling to enjoy in full this remarkable landscape. The timings were well planned, we felt how experienced were the guides to do it, so we managed to attend the scheduled places without staying in long lines during this busy tourist season. This hassle free scenic trip definitely worth the costs, highly recommend.

Buenas tardes

Do i need a visa to travel to Canada if i carry a Malaysian passport. I already have valid US visa

Wie ist das mit dem Visum für die kanadische Seite der Niagarafälle. Ich bin Deutsche und habe für die USA ein Visum.
Um die Niagarafälle von der kanadischen Seite zu sehen, braucht man dafür ein extra Visum.

I would like to book this tour, I am British and need to know what I need to get for entry into Canada ?
I did sign up or Eta but I’m not sure if this is what I need. I think this is if you are traveling by plane .?

queremos hacer el tour de dos días pero no queremos pasar la frontera a Canadá, no tenemos la visa canadiense, entonces podemos quedarnos del lado de EEUU y ahí también nos ofrecen el hotel para esa noche ?

We stayed at Travelodge Hotel which was far enough from the city noise but only 15minutes walk from the waterfall. Nice hotel, organised by the tour company and it was included in tour (which I don't remember how much it cost). It was worth every penny tho. :)
