Awesome Tour in a Yellow Three Wheeler!!!
Definitely will recommend this service for anyone visiting the San Diego area. We had a lot of fun!!! You definitely get a different view of San Diego versus a tour bus or driving a car. Amazing

Best way to get an over view of city!
My husband and I rented the three-wheeled electric bike for a whole day rental. We had 5 of our children and families coming in later that afternoon to join us on our trip and wanted an overview of the city before they arrived. We were able to travel liberally in the area and had an awesome time! The gps was excellent and very informative, with turn by turn directions, making navigating the unfamiliar area flawless. The temps were in the 40s and cloudy until midday but because of the shield and the heated seats, we stayed very comfortable. Be sure to stop in at Rosemarie's for the most amazing sliders for lunch! Highly recommend this tour!

      First time in San Diego
Me and my son did the 2 hour tour around San Diego. We both had a really good time. We thought it was really cool how the gps would tell us interesting facts about the sights as we passed them. Would highly recommend

Booked the sunset tour and was greeted by a salesman telling us that we booked at a "weird time", trying upsell us to a safer vehicle for the evening. We choose to stick with our original reservation and left feeling more concerned than excited. In the end the car was fine for the evening tour, though it barely made it above 35 mph. If you're interested in crawling down the road in a bumper car alongside evening traffic, the sunset tour is for you, otherwise I'd say it's a hard pass.

      Fun Way to Tour
The GPS guided tour was a super fun way to see the city. I was a bit intimidated at first to realize that we would not have an actual tour guide. It was not easy to stay on the tour path but making wrong turns was part of the fun. We also had a physical map and found our way back to the path pretty easily. We were in the go cart-like car with a back seat—so much fun!

Great Way to Get Around San Diego
Great way to get around San Diego! Rented a Vanderhall roadster with GPS and programmed it to avoid the Fleet Week crowds along Harbor Drive. Drove it to Point Loma and then back, be aware that it is very low to the ground so you will have a view of car doors and bumpers when in traffic.

      SO MUCH FUN!
My son & I rented the car for the 2 hour tour. We arrived, they instructed us how to operate the car and what to expect. The staff are always SO friendly, this is our 3rd time doing this activity. The weather was perfect and we had a blast! Definitely will be doing this again and again. The staff treated us like family!

A fun and unique into to the city
The little car was really cute and very comfortable for the ride. Definitely drew a lot of attention as we drove around. It was a really fun way to be introduced the layout of the city and get ideas for what we want to do on the rest of our visit. I would love to do it again in another city or with other people .

      San Diego GoCar Fun
The safety video and orientation to the GoCar were good and thorough. The GPS was easy to follow although I did miss a turn or two. Some missed turns were because of construction, but those spots were pointed out on the map during the orientation. The other missed turns were were on me. The ride was fun, the information entertaining. The bright yellow GoCar certainly attracted attention. A good time.

Fantastic way to see the city!
Fantastic way to see the city. Rented the buggy (seats 3 adults or 2 adults/2 kids) all day and did four of the tours. Foreign language options on the narrations worked a treat for my mum who doesn't speak English. Easy, friendly pick-up. Highly recommended.

Great way to get a sense of Coronado! Wish we had another 30 minutes to get out off the car 2'3 morw times more and take a few more pics. Guess we will have to go back!

Great customer service. Easy to operate vehicle. Map was about 5 seconds behind of location but you can go where you want and get back on the map easily.

We loved this activity! We upgraded to the Vanderhall, which operates like a normal car and allows you to sit side by side. My husband loved driving it! We wish we had booked a full day or accepted the chance to add an extra hour or two onto our time. Definitely do a longer tour or add time if you are able; that would give you more chances to pull over and explore or even grab lunch. The gps directions were easy to follow (the car even complimented us on our driving, lol) and the tour was informative. Our only issue was that we sometimes couldn’t safely pull over when it wanted us to and sometimes (in order to keep pace with traffic) we seemed to go too fast for the narration and missed things. Overall, it was really fun and gave us a chance to see a lot of different areas.

Absolutely disappointed. I've used GoCar Tours in San Diego two previous times and had a wonderful time. My experience this last weekend was a nightmare. Please read on.

We paid over $300 (including the mandatory insurance) to rent the Vanderhall for 2 hours on the Coronado tour. As the employee was giving us the overview of the car, the built in tablet was overheating and would not work. Due to the tablet not working, he gave me a cell phone which he said to leave in the glove box which would provide the gps directions/narration via the cars Bluetooth.

When I tell you the Bluetooth/gps was garbage, it was absolute crap. The first part of the talking would be cut off (I.e, "on Orange St.") so we had no idea if we were supposed to turn right or left. We constantly had to pull over, take out the phone, and attempt to use their garbage proprietary map software to try to figure out how to get back on the route. If you go off their route, there is no narration on how to get back on route. The narration would constantly be cutoff during the narration of the sights/views as well. When we did get the full directions (I.e. "turn left on Orange St."), it would be far too late. We would get the directions literally 20 ft before needing to make the turn which led to last second lane changes which were often difficult/dangerous.

The tour of Coronado island was a nightmare. I felt like I rented a Ferrari just to get stuck in bumper to bumper traffic on the 405 freeway. We were literally on one street for 30 minutes during gridlock traffic. Now I realize traffic isn't the fault of GoCar, but I feel this tour shouldn't have been available during rush hour. We should have been advised to take a different tour. The 2 hour tour ended up taking approximately 2 hours 40 minutes due to traffic and wasted time trying to get back on the route.

When we got back, I expressed my dissatisfaction with the employee. He said "a thousand other customers have complained about the GPS issues too." He said he'd submit my feedback to the owner. I said if a thousand other customers have complained, obviously the owner doesn't isn't listening. I asked to have the owner (Chris) call me which he never did.

I'm writing this review on Saturday morning at 4am as I woke up in the middle of the night still so frustrated about my experience.

Do yourself a favor, do one of the other thousands of fun things to do in San Diego. Don't waste your time here.

Everything was great. It was a really cool experience to see some of the sites. We were late but even so I don't know if we would have been able to get off much which would have been cool. Regardless we had an amazing time can't wait to find you elsewhere.
