Overview
Fish for yellowtail, bass, or a variety of game fish off the coast of California on this half-day angling excursion from San Diego. Cruise along San Diego County's beautiful coastline and out into deepwater angling territory for the best shot at a prize catch. Breakfast, lunch, drinks and snacks are available onboard for purchase. Guidance from the expert crew, a one-day fishing license, rod and tackle are included.
What to Expect
Board your comfortable boat for a day of fishing in the Pacific Ocean.  Meet your crew and captain, and make yourself comfortable in the sun or shade as you head out to sea. As the shoreline recedes behind you, catch glimpses of Coronado Island and the skyline of San Diego.  When you're ready, get help from the crew setting up your rod. Fish like sand bass, calico bass, bonito, barracuda, mackerel, and rock fish all inhabit these waters, not to mention the hard-fighting yellowtail, which can weigh up to 40 lbs (18 kg).

Take breaks from watching for bites by grabbing a bite for yourself inside the onboard galley. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages are available for purchase throughout the trip.  If you catch a fish of legal size, the crew will fillet it for a nominal fee so you can take it home for a tasty dinner. Feel free to catch and release, or simply purchase a boarding pass to come along for the ride.  After a 5-hour cruise out in the sun and waves of the mighty Pacific, return to San Diego, hopefully with a fish or two for dinner.

The day starts with a 30 min delay for parking, only to find out that the sign on the lot says "lot full", is apparently always up! Then, we signed in and were not directed to the proper area to get our gear. The trip...More

Not a Private Charter, but good fun!

My older son and I were in San Diego for the weekend and I thought this would be something fun and different to do. It was both! The crew was professional and courteous. I saw no horseplay. Many of them helped the guests with taking...More

Please find another place

I booked this trip strictly off of the reviews which was a mistake. Unless you are looking to take a boat ride it is a joke, find a private fishing tour. First we were charged for a fishing license even though they show it is...More

Terrible Company

Our ticket said the departure time was 6:30am. Got an Uber to the dock. We were running right on time. Spoke to Todd three times while we were heading there. We explained that we would be there right at 6:30. He was not helpful at...More

Great trip

We took two small children (boys 4/6) on the afternoon half day trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful - and even made an effort to ensure every kid on the boat caught at least one fish. Now we only had about 25 people...More

I said in article we each caught a small makrel. Tiny filet and not good eating.

the cattle boats are no place for a wife, particularly if it's overnight. there should be a discount for a non-fishing passenger on half day charters, but it's not common enough for the boat to have such a policy. there's... More
