Overview
Join Boston's only award winning, original, Martha's Vineyard Day Trip! Leave the trouble of driving to someone else and enjoy a day trip to Martha’s Vineyard from Boston. Rest and relax in a late model mini-coach on a 1.5-hour drive to the town of Falmouth, MA. Complimentary snacks, bottled water, island guidebooks and a discount card with island perks are provided during the drive.

Then it’s on to the Island Queen ferry and a 35-minute mini-cruise across the waters of Vineyard Sound to Martha’s Vineyard. Upon arrival on the island, explore at leisure or upgrade to add a 3-hour island tour to the trip before returning.
What to Expect
Begin with a good morning hotel pickup followed by a casual 1.5-hour drive by mini-coach from Boston to Falmouth, MA. Water and a morning snack  and light commentary will be provided on the trip.

Upon arrival in Falmouth, it’s off to the Island Queen Dock to board the ferry (ticket included) to Martha’s Vineyard. Enjoy a brief 35-minute mini-cruise across Vineyard Sound to the island destination, arriving on Martha's Vineyard around 9:30am. From there, each passenger will have six hours to explore Martha's Vineyard at their leisure.

For an introduction to the island, an optional 3-hour tour is available. Visit the Gay Head Light, an iconic island lighthouse in Aquinnah. Travel through the beautiful historic village of Edgartown and learn about the area’s history from a guide.  After the tour, you will have about 2.5 hours to continue to explore the island on our own.

Board the ferry for a 3:45pm departure and leisurely cruise back to Falmouth, where a return shuttle awaits to complete this great island experience. Water and a light snack will be provided on the trip back to Boston and your designated hotel.

Contact the tour operators directly. I traveled back in early September and shops were already closed. I think the season ends after Labor Day.
