Boston Movie Mile Walking Tour
Boston is a popular filming site for TV shows and movies, including blockbuster films Good Will Hunting and The Departed. An ideal choice for movie buffs, this walking tour allows you to see more than 30 filming locations, stroll through the Boston Common and the picturesque Beacon Hill neighborhood, and learn about the city’s film history from a local actor.
What to Expect
Your tour begins at the Boston Common Visitor Center, where you meet your guide and set off on a walking tour of the nearby downtown area.

During your tour, visit Boston Common (the park made famous by the TV comedy Ally McBeal), see the street of the car crash in Stephen Hopkins’ 1994 film Blown Away, and visit one of Jack Nicholson’s mob hangouts from Martin Scorsese’s 2006 flick The Departed.

You can also visit locations featured in the 1997 indie drama Good Will Hunting and sip brews at Boston’s Cheers Beacon Hill—a mandatory pilgrimage for fans of the popular television show Cheers, which was inspired by this authentic neighborhood watering hole.

In addition to these movie sites, visit famous spots such as Boston Public Garden, the Massachusetts State House, and the Soldiers and Sailors Monument.

Your tour concludes at the original departure point.

Exciting twists and turns, even when not planned!

There was a protest going on at one of the main locations when Mike, friendly and professional, still gave great information in a funny and informative way! Great views of the city from a unique perspective! Worth the time and money spent :)
