Overview
Go deep into Canyonlands National Park on a full-day tour by 4-wheel drive (4WD) that travels the famous White Rim Road. Experience the landscape up close on short optional hikes that lead to hidden passages, secret canyons and caves. Your route includes Island in the Sky, Gooseneck overlook, Musselman Arch, Lathrop Canyon and the Shafer Trail leading to the Colorado River. With an expert guide to show you the treasures of the White Rim Road, experience an unforgettable day in the Canyonlands.
Highlights
  • Explore Canyonlands National Park in a 4WD vehicle
  • Head to little-visited trailheads for optional hikes to vista points
  • Buffet-style picnic lunch included to keep you fueled
  • Pickup and drop-off from central Moab included; a driver handles the rugged roads
What to Expect
Begin your tour with pickup from a central Moab meeting point. Hop inside a 4WD vehicle and take in views of the famous red rock landscape, including Dead Horse Point, as your guide expertly navigates the rugged 30-mile (48 kilometer) White Rim Road leading to Canyonlands National Park.
Upon arrival, pay the park entrance fee (not included) and continue into Canyonlands. Your guide handles the switchbacks en route to must-see attractions such as Gooseneck Overlook, Lathrop Canyon, Musselman Arch, and the Shafer Trail, entertaining you with information about local history, culture, and geography along the way.
Break up the drive with optional short yet challenging hikes that the casual Canyonlands visitor likely misses. Follow the trails to scenic vista points or relax near the vehicle and admire the views.
A picnic lunch by the Colorado River keeps you refreshed and energized during a full day of exploration.
Tour concludes with drop-off in Moab.

Due to vehicle problems, the trip was cancelled the day before. I was offered a substitute trip to Arches but had already been there.

Our family had the pleasure of a half day trip with Josh B. We all held our breath and “trusted Josh” (his mantra and our’s) as we hugged the side of a cliff on a one lane path through the canyons. It was beautiful scenery...More
