Blaine took us on an amazing 4x4 tour of Canyonlands' Island in the Sky. He also stopped to show us some petroglyphs, an arch, and a gooseneck of the Colorado river on the way. He shared information about each stop as well as history of the entire area. He even made sure we had the perfect sunset view at the end of our 4pm tour, and stopped for us to take pictures of the Mule deer we passed on our way out of the park.

When my window wouldn't roll down, Blaine offered to take pictures with my phone and/or Cannon anytime I wanted. He really went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect tour. I'm not sure if they take requests, but we'll be trying to request him for future tours!

We had a great tour with Adam, and that is what made the trip so spectacular! He knew so many details about all things Canyonlands and communicated in an easy going, friendly manner. He was also an awesome driver, the snow had made some parts of the “roads” very tricky to navigate, but we were never scared because he knew how to instill confidence in us. He was also very safety minded, and at one point we turned around because he didn’t consider the path safe enough.
To make up for not being able to get on Schaefer Road , a park ranger had just closed it, Adam took us out on White Rim Road and spent an extra hour with us doing that. we had a great time!
It was a great trip, and we shall return for another Navtec trip with Adam!

Ric Otero was our experienced guide on the rare treat of a rainy tour, complete with waterfalls (we think Ric dialed that up just for us 😘). He was cautious of potential hazards of the drive while being incredibly personable. We thought the 1/2 day tour was a perfect length for us, we had hiked Arches in the AM and were glad to ride along and hear about the geology and history of the area. Ric knew all best camera angles and gave us whatever time we needed at each stop. The Landcruiser was the perfect vehicle for the drive, well suited to the environment. Ric provided us with cold water (or lemonade) refills and snacks, as well as bathroom stops right when we needed them. We felt safe, welcome and well-cared for on our tour. Ric was a fantastic guide.

We spent close to a $1k on this 4x4 for 7 people. You’d think we would’ve gotten a pretty incredible tour from beginning to end. It wasn’t exceptional. When we got there, we were asked to wear masks. Totally fine, even though we were vaccinated, I understand people can still be uncomfortable with no masks. I asked if we had to wear masks in the vehicles, the lady said yes. I was a little annoyed - spending four hours in a land cruiser with masks with my own family was not ideal. But oh well. The lady then asked if I had water. I said no because the reservation I received said you had lemonade and water for us? She said everyone brings their own water on this trip. I told my husband to go check our car for any extra water we might have lying around. She then said it’s fine, I’m sure your driver will have water. It was a strange interaction.
We went outside and met our guides. Immediately, they were super nice, told us they had water and we didn’t have to wear masks because they were vaccinated. After the tour was all done, I just don’t think it was worth the money. In the end, I wish we had spent it on something different. I know too they have to keep their land cruisers in running condition, so I’m sure it is expensive. But personal opinion, it was a lot of money for what we got.

We are four adults - cousins and their partners - who were lucky enough to get into this to trip with only a few days notice. Are we ever glad we did!!!
It was just the right amount of adventure and safety. Our driver was obviously well-experienced and exuded confidence. We only had to relax and enjoy the incredible views.
A born educator, he shared his knowledge of the history of the area from its formation, to the original inhabitants, to the filming of Thelma and Louise. We would never in a million years have experienced Canyonlands to this extent in our own.

Our guide Buzz was fantastic! He was knowledgeable on the local area, the parks, geology ... the trip was worth every penny. He was sensitive to 81 year old very petite mom making sure that she got into and out of the vehicle safely. Navtec and their guides seems well prepared to give a great trip to all levels of groups. The views were breathtaking and it was fun to see the Desert Big Horn sheep.

Awesome trip with Lolly! We left Moab at 4:00 pm for the "sunset" tour. Lolly was informative, entertaining, skilled driving the Land Cruiser, and just a joy as a guide. Seeing Canyonlands from the "bottom up" is an amazing way to experience Utah. A surprise downpour not only didn't spoil the trip, it added red waterfalls and an opportunity to see a "flash flood" form right below us. The highlight though, besides Lolly, was to traverse UP Shafer Trail, navigating narrow switchbacks to the top. Breathtaking! The tour ended with a sunset at Dead Horse State Park followed by a trip back DOWN into Long Canyon and then back to Moab. Just a great way to see Canyonlands.

Both our tour guides: Bob (Canyonlands) and Justin (Arches) were welcoming and kind with great knowledge of the town and land including history as well as offering surprising information at every turn. They were true professional off roader as the we all felt safe and comfortable throughout the adventure without being rushed even as they took a ton of pictures for us. The timing was perfect and the hospitality on the road was fantastic offering water, snacks, bathroom breaks all while having fun, laughing and soaking up the parks magnificent views and being in safe hands!

Went on a full day tour of Canyonlands national park with Navtec. Our guide for the day, Josh P. absolutely blew us away. He kept us entertained and comfortable throughout the whole 8 hour day, even while we were driving over boulders, up cliffs, and rocking all around in the 4X4.

But what was really impressive was his knowledge and his insights into the area, the history, the geological features etc. He really opened our eyes to not only the visual beauty of this area, but also to why it is so incredible and how it needs to be preserved and protected. We are already planning to come back for another excursion and will be specifically recommending to go with Josh as our guide again. A+++ I easily rate this experience as 5 Stars, especially because of Josh.

What an incredible experience. Not only is the scenery incredibly beautiful but the company is fantastic. Mike is hands down, one of the coolest humans on planet earth and was a wealth of knowledge for the entire trip. He shared the history, human and geological, but also the pop culture pieces which added to the experience. Also as a part of being one of the coolest humans on earth, he was simply a joy to talk to and ask questions of.

As I was solo, there were other parties in the car as well. Mike did a fantastic job of ensuring everyone had a great time, catering to the needs of each individual while also providing a thrilling (and incredibly safe) ride. Don't let the fear of being in a car with others deter you, especially if you are solo, Mike (and I am sure the entire team) did a fantastic job of "reading the room".

I'd recommend NAVTEC and more importantly, Mike, to anyone looking for a fantastic off-road adventure. I will definitely be checking out their other tours on future trips!
