What to expect
Meet your expert culinary guide in front of the Ferry Building Marketplace for a 2-hour walking tour. This landmark, built in the late 19th century, features a 245-foot (75-meter) clock tower and was renovated in 2003. If you're looking for a taste of San Francisco, this concourse featuring artisans and farmers peddling their wares is the best place to get it. As you stroll, you may see some of the city's most-revered chefs buying fresh produce to serve at their restaurants that evening. Taste artisan chocolates from Recchiuti and Scharffen Berger, pickled vegetables from Happy Girl Kitchen, macarons from Miette, award-winning cheeses from Cowgirl Creamery and Boccalone's house-cured fennel salami. Bite into veggie and fruit tartlets from Brentwood's Frog Hollow Farm and munch on fresh-baked bread from ACME Bread Company. After this 2-hour tour, you are free to explore on your own and purchase any products you have sampled and loved.

Go On An Empty Stomach
Guaranteed to fill your tummy and quench your curiosity about the ferry building and it’s history. Travis was exceptional! His knowledge about the food and the history was impressive. It was informative, fun, and filling! All of the stops offered first class tastings. We’ve been on other food tours and left hungry. Not on this one! If you’re a foodie and/or a history nut, Travis’s tour is for you!

2nd time doing a tour. We LOVE these tours. Great way to get to know a neighborhood and the local bites. Every taste was great and you are stuffed by the end, for better and worse. Our guide, Karen, is long time local and serious foodie. Highly recommend

Ferry Bldg Fabulous!!
Dec 2019
The Ferry Building Food Tour is a great experience and Santino made it fabulous. He was friendly, inviting, knowledgeable and fun. I brought my 87-year old mom on the tour who is very interested in food/nutrition. She asked a lot of questions and he was very patient and informative while still keeping all of us involved. The logistics were flawless as they were on my last Edible Excursions tour and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

One of the best food tours one can do in SF
Sep 2019
Carol did an amazing job as our guide for the Edible Excisions tour of the Ferry Building. She knew every intricate detail about each variety of food she presented to us and really is a food connoisseur, or a "foodie" as the millennial's say nowadays. The transitions from savory to sweet had our group very excited for what was to come next. Would definitely recommend to any group trying to get a taste of the eateries San Francisco has to offer.

ALCATRAZ AND S.F. FOOD TOUR
Sep 2018 • Family
Our tour guide for the food tour was Joshua, and he was awesome! He gave us not only the history of the Ferry Building but also of all the background on the many vendors we visited. This was the best tour we went on while visiting the San Francisco area.

Started early in the morning - would have preferred a later time, but it was holiday time. Food was plentiful and good. Learned a lot and would do a longer tour next time!
