Overview
Experience a thrilling West Virginia adventure in New River Gorge National Park with this guided, 6-hour, whitewater rafting trip. Choose from a morning or afternoon departure, then enjoy the amazing scenery while challenging Class III and IV rapids along the way. No previous rafting experience is necessary. This tour runs from March through October each year. A lunch break on the New River Gorge National River (at the halfway point), catered by local hot spot Rezan's at Wood Mountain, is included.
What to Expect
Experience the thrill of whitewater rafting in West Virginia at New River Gorge National Park. The New River is one of the oldest in the world — a rugged, whitewater river flowing northward through deep canyons — carving the deepest and longest river gorge in the Appalachian Mountains. The park itself covers more than 70,000 acres of land along the river. Rich in cultural and natural history, it offers a wide variety of scenic and recreational opportunities.

On this 6-hour adventure, challenge Class III and IV rapids while taking in the spectacular scenery: forests, cliffs, wetlands and rimrock habitats, featuring endangered mammals and rare birds and amphibians. In the water, look for native fish, mussels, crayfish and plenty of other aquatic wildlife, like rare amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.

At the halfway point, there will be a riverside lunch, catered by local Rezan's at Wood Mountain.

Amazing scenery, local wildlife, high adventure and great food — this whitewater rafting excursion has it all.

A group of Boy Scouts and leaders had a great time on the river. John Henry was engaging and personable. Eric was so enthusiastic. Highly recommend this smaller company to get the personal touch and best memories.
