Admission tickets were discounted because we went off season (October).. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed our visit without a huge crowd and heat. Some presentations are on alternate days during off season, so you'll want to take note of that when you get your tickets.

There are almost 80 buildings in Colonial Williamsburg that you can tour or visit. The times given for many of them are absurd. To see the Palace and grounds is AT LEAST 45 mins and you may have to wait to get in. To see the museum is at leat 2 hours if you run. We just spent 4

Since we were staying in a Colonial House, having to find the Visitor’s Center to retrieve our tickets was rather inconvenient. Once we had them and returned, the sites were very enjoyable. We saw and learned a lot. Recommend!

This is an ok place to visit 1 time, but for the price it is someplace we won't be coming back to. You look at buildings and see a few examples of what life was like in colonial times. All 6 of our party was not impressed. We paid almost $400 for 1 day and that was with my dad
