Mount Rushmore and More Tour

Select Date and Travelers
2 travelers
Limited (8 locations) in Rapid City for pick-up and drop as well as Borglum Historical Center in Keystone. You will discover the Eighth Wonder of the World at Crazy Horse Memorial.  It is the world's largest mountain carving and is a memorial for all Native American tribes.  Next, travel into Custer State Park which is known for its bison herds, begging burros and other wildlife.  Take in the scenery and marvel at the beauty of Iron Mountain Road.  Climbing 17 miles to the entrance of Mount Rushmore.  You will wind over stacked loops of wooden bridges known as the pigtails and through one-lane tunnels that perfectly frame the "Shrine of Democracy" in the distance.  Your final destination will be Mount Rushmore National Memorial.  Enjoy your included lunch at Carver's Marketplace and explore this National Memorial depicting four of the most prominent presidents of the first 150 years of the United States -- George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt and Thomas Jefferson.
  • Black Hills tour with Mount Rushmore National Memorial
  • Go beyond the typical Mount Rushmore tour—see Black Hills sights, too
  • Bring your camera along for beautiful views of Custer State Park
  • Guide provides insight into regional history and culture
What to Expect
Begin your tour of the Black Hills and Mount Rushmore National Memorial with pickup from your Rapid City or Keystone area hotel. Then, start the 1-hour drive through the Black Hills to Custer State Park. As you drive, your guide tells you fun facts about the area’s history and modern life in the shadows of Mt. Rushmore National Monument. Stop at points of interest along the way, including Crazy Horse Memorial, Iron Mountain Road, and scenic vista points overlooking thick forests and long mountain ranges. At the end of the day, return to your original departure point with a better appreciation of the Black Hills’ beauty.

Great breakfast to start. Rode to Mt. Rushmore, the park, four very narrow tunnels, and the ever on going Crazy Horse monument. Arrived back to a delicious cowboy dinner. The five piece musical group got the crowed going. W.ell worth the days investment!
