Overview
Explore Old Charleston Jail, one of the city’s paranormal hot spots, during this guided night tour that takes you back through its history from 1802 to 1939. Hear tales from your guide about the ghosts that allegedly haunt its halls. Prebooking means you can visit on the day and time you’d like, and since this tour is less than an hour long, it’s easy to fit into your busy schedule.
What to Expect
Meet for this guided tour at the Old Charleston City Jail, and get ready to explore its haunted jail cells. Since it will be nighttime, prepare to get even more spooked.

As you walk the hallways, your guide will tell you all about the city’s most famous criminals who lived and died there. You’ll enter the actual cells that held notorious prisoners, such as Lavinia and John Fisher. See if you can catch sight of Lavinia’s ghost, who has been said to still haunt the halls. Some tourgoers have claimed they’ve seen objects move on their own.

Your tour ends back at the entrance of the prison with plenty of time to go out afterward to recover from your eerie adventure.

Unsettling and good

We had Glenn on an early evening Halloween night tour. He was a mature, straightforward, respectful guide. He made sure we understood this was not a "haunted house", there weren't staged encounters, and there were no gotchas. This would be a ghost tour based on...More
