Overview
Taste your way through Portland’s bustling downtown on a food tour with a local guide. You’ll visit both established favorites and trendy food carts to sample a variety of dishes, ranging from fresh made pasta, duck confit, smoked seafood dishes, pork mole, falafel, locally made chocolate, salted caramel ice cream sandwiches and more, all washed down with regional craft beer, cocktails and Oregon wine, of course. As you walk, learn about the area’s art, history and culture from your knowledgeable guide. This tour is offered a variety of days and times throughout the week, so check the calendar for full availability! This tour features a stop at the Portland Farmer's Market at Portland State University on Saturdays during the summer.  This food tour is limited to about 12 people, ensuring you enjoy a small-group experience.
Highlights
  • Explore Portland’s multifaceted food scene on a walking tour
  • Taste locally brewed craft beer, Oregon wine, and seasonal dishes
  • Visit some of the city’s top food trucks and upscale restaurants
  • See Portland sights on foot with a small group
What to Expect
Depending on the tour type and time you select at checkout, meet your guide at the appointed downtown location and begin your journey on foot.
Your itinerary varies depending on the day, but expect your guide to take you to five locations during the tour. Sample a range of dishes from some of the more upscale, established restaurants and from casual newcomers that make up Portland’s thriving food scene.
You might stop at a downtown food truck, try local craft beer, and sip Oregon wines. On the tour, you also learn some of the city’s geography and history as you stop to check out everything from handmade dumplings to fresh pasta, pork sandwiches, and single-origin chocolate.
Be prepared to get a comprehensive taste of Portland and see a few sights during the 1.5-mile (2.4-km) tour, which ends near Pioneer Courthouse Square.

Ahna was our guide for this walking tour. She was personable and we enjoyed both her conversation and the food. We made 5 stops and had enough food for a meal plus ice cream and chocolate. Ahna gave us some additional dining recommedations.
