About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- wrox130 contributionsGreat sightseeing trip for a dayGorgeous views, with several quick stops along the way. Highlight was the snow at Timberline Lodge... I could've sat by that fireplace for hours. Tour guide / driver was friendly and knowledgeable. Got a lot in for the day, and perfect after several days of walking all over Portland (and looking for a little bit less walking).Written November 9, 2024
- Rickster46650 contributionsMt. HoodThis had to be the most beautiful mountain hike i have ever taken. You will need to be able to hike up steep terrain to get to the best spots. So if you have any health problems there are other nice views.Written November 2, 2024
- Sherpa336975905050 contributionsBeautifulBeautiful tour which coverd four water falls in the Gorge area and the majestic Vista House offering full view of the river and the Gorge. The city are was coverd in the afternoon. The tour guide Phil was professional and courteous.Written October 27, 2024
- Danielle C0 contributionsA lovely way to spend an afternoonThe tour company was able to give us a meeting place since we weren't staying at a hotel, and Phoebe picked us up on time and ready to roll. There were 11 or 13 people on the tour with us, and we were comfortably seated in a lovely van. Phoebe told us some of the history and information behind the landmarks as we drove to the different destinations. We had plenty of time to explore each one, and we all enjoyed our time. Our part consisted of parents in their 40's, two 23 year old, a 20 year old, and a 17 year old. Thus is a great excursion idea for a family. We had a wonderful time!Written October 25, 2024
- tonymC2105TH0 contributionsICONIC TIMEThe views were amazing. I took a lot of photos. The driver was so helpful and profesional. I recommend this tour to anyone!Written October 23, 2024
- paulaf0ley10 contributionsBest Portland city tourWe had a wonderful city tour. Our guide Phil Sollers was top notch. He was so friendly, cheerful, and answered all our questions. He knows the history of the city as well as the culture, the arts, and current day issues. We loved it and would highly recommend!Written October 14, 2024
- kitwes0 contributionsWell worth it!Could not have enjoyed this tour more. Took the burden off of our trying to drive and figure out what to do/where to go. We just got to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Zach (our guide) was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and engaging.Written October 11, 2024
- monicapP7084TF0 contributionsMuch More Than a Tour GuidePeter was so very knowledgeable about the area. Unfortunately I took a tumble and ended up in the hospital that morning. While I took an ambulance ride, Peter took my husband to the hospital and stayed as long as we needed. He then took my husband back to pick up our car near the Pioneer Courthouse Square. I can't say enough good things about Peter. He helped us out so much on a very stressful day for us. He offered to do anything that we needed. He was so much more than a tour guide and we will never forget his kindness.Written September 29, 2024

He was professional, friendly and made our tour. Good town for lunch stop with many reasonable dining options. The pace of the tour was just right, never feeling rushed or needing more time. Our tour had only four people which meant little time spent boarding and un-boarding the van. Would highly recommend.Written September 12, 2024

Adam was an exceptional guide. We thought we were listening to a one man show! He told an amazing array of stories while showing us the exceptional beauty of the Portland area. We have done dozens of tours in a great many cities, Adam was one of the very best!

I participated alone, even though I could barely speak English.
It was a half-day tour, and we were supposed to start at 9:00, but they were supposed to pick me up at my designated hotel between 8:30 and 8:45, but they picked me up exactly at 8:30. (I was the first one there, so I think we gathered at that time at the earliest.) After that, we went to pick up the other participants at their hotels and started. I was given a free bottle of water.
The guide was a cheerful man, and when I asked him questions, he explained things in simple English so that I could understand.
The waterfalls from the place he showed me were spectacular, and we went around about five waterfalls, and finally he brought me to a place like an observation deck overlooking the Columbia River.
On the way, we went down a road along a waterfall, and the next meeting point was at the end, but I didn't understand that, so I went back to the place where I was dropped off at the beginning. (The guide asked me if I understood the contents, but I answered YES, thinking that I understood.) When I returned, of course the car was gone and there were no other participants, so I didn't know what to do, so I called the number I had confirmed the reservation with, and someone other than the guide answered the phone. The person listened carefully to my poor English, and I was able to meet up with everyone safely. Although I had kept everyone waiting for quite some time, not a single person got angry. They all encouraged me with "Don't worry. No problem. It's ok!" and were very cheerful.
There were about 7-9 people in the group. The car didn't shake much, and it was a really fun memory.
Thank you for helping me even though I had gotten lost.

Absolutely a highlight of my trip to Portland. I would not have considered it if I didn't sit next to a colleague at the conference who said she was going. This trip was worth every penny! We were picked up by Jeff in a clean, large, comfortable van that easily fit seven guests and could have fit ten. He gave us some brief and interesting commentary on our way out to the first falls. Jeff gave us plenty of time to explore each waterfall and shared tips for where to get the best pictures and experience. The Latourell Falls were my favorite. We had adequate time at each spot and I would definitely recommend the trip to others.

Did not know how enjoyable and relaxing and educational a waterfall tour could be. Adam was up for the challenge as our guide, as he took us through several wonderful falls and epic scenic backdrops. I did not expect to also be taught the history of the area, but it was perfect mix. Not overly strenuous by any standard so do not be scared of by that, but by the same token do not expect to be overly fatigued. Glad we had Adam as our guide.

The beauty of Oregon is outside of Portland. We booked our trip to Multnomah Falls and the Columbia Gourge to see the waterfalls. It was well worth the trip! The driver was enjoyable and knowledgeable. We had adequate time at the various waterfalls and were able to stop at Vista House. Stopping at a fruit stand was a bonus.

Just an amazing experience. From the moment you get on the van, Jeff, the tour guide was amazing. Giving facts about the city and even more details once we were at the different waterfalls. The drive was quick and safe. Jeff took care of all in it and was very cautions about his group. The group was made-up of older, young and all in between and we all had an amazing time. The waterfalls do require walking, but it is an entry level very light trail walking. The tour will leave you with open mouth expressions and breath taking pictures.

Our guide Norman was very knowledgable about the geography and history of the Columbia Gorge. He was also very helpful in our picture taking efforts.
Our trip was timed to avoid large groups of tourists at the waterfall sites.

This tour is great. I took an out of town visitor, and she is still raving to her friends. I can definitely recommend this tour—even more so in spring and late fall when there’s a ton of water flowing.
Water provided. A snack shack at Multinomah Falls, and restrooms available at stops.

I’m really glad I decided to do this. The tour was great, and the entire experience was both delightful and easy. (I also felt it was really reasonably-priced for the time and service.) Jeff was a terrific, fun tour guide and I felt like we got to see some of the best of Portland’s nature scenery and were given the right amount of time at each stop.
I would definitely take additional tours with this company.

Hi, we’re staying at an Airbnb so what hotel do we go to to catch the tour bus and will they allow us to use their parking lot for the duration of the tour? We are booked for a morning tour on June 22. Our Airbnb address is 1805 Northeast Junior Street, what hotel would be closest to our Airbnb? Thanks
Written June 17, 2022
When you book the tour, the tour guide will contact you and will let you know which hotel to meet. I can’t help you with parking but the guide should be able to. We used public transportation during our stay in Portland. It was convenient, only a few blocks from where we were staying and we were able to travel to any destination we planned on going.

Do you pick up at the Best Western located at the airport? Is it possible to be dropped off at the Best Western in Hood River? We are a party of 3 adults and 2 children and looking for the 18 th of August. Price for total party. Thank you JM 443 614 5473

I would like to take photos and the tour stated about 15 minutes per stop. Is there other tours that stay longer or do I rent a car?
Written March 7, 2020
Having done this tour, I’d say that if it’s possible for you to rent a car, I would definitely do that. The trails are open now (I went in January when it was still snowing) and you’ll have more freedom to explore and spend as much time as you want at each stop. You can make a whole day out of it and make additional stops along the way. This is what I will do when I visit next time.

What time does this tour start and from what pick up location?

I believe we were picked up around 830 or so. In our case they picked us up at our hotel.
