- momnurse7300Nice place but disappointedBeautiful scenery and what could be a fun coaster. Your speed depends on the person in front of you. We rode double and wanted to “run away” down the mountain but were automatically stopped 3 times due to the person ahead. Told 2 workers and they stayed silent. Very disappointing considering the price paid. Maybe spread the carts out more?
- X6538RSjeffr00Best coaster in Branson! What great fun! This is a must do while in Branson. The kids had a blast with the gem mining. Ready to go back for the lights at night!
- X4145TBdonnam00Wild Ride!If you ride this, you better hold onto whatever you have with you cause we were told to hold the throttle all the way down, which meant we were going the fastest speed. Very curvy and up & down. I almost lost my phone wallet & my daughter almost lost her ballcap. Being an older lady, I wouldn't recommend this for the elderly. I wouldn't ride it again, for sure.
- jbE651EZ00Ticket lady is awfulThe ticket lady needs to get fire other than that would of been a good place. Please just remove this lady. the pit crew was nice and friendly they receive a good review but not the ticket lady.
- Dreamer5127344103600Best Mountain Coaster ever!My husband and I had a condo near this mountain coaster ride. We didn’t know what to expect, but it was absolutely fantastic! We went on a similar type ride in Jamaica, and it doesn’t even compare to this. You will want to use the brakes!
- Mahoneygirls00This was AMAZING!!!This was a ride that I would do again. Once you get the hang of controlling the speed (unless you like really fast) it was fun. You must try this.
- StonerBear00AmazingLoved it! If you are in Branson it is a must. Did it at night and loved the lights. Would definitely do it again.
- troybpm6700Great stop for anyone!Unexpected impromptu stop on the way out of town and we loved it. Great scenery and ride that was well worth it❣️
- 853kaciem00A+++It’s a great coaster - they give good instructions before you take off up the mountain. Worth the money compared to others in the area
- donnahA9106MT00So much fun!!!My husband and I are in our mid 50's and loved this. I liked I could control the speed LOL But my husband let his go full speed ahead. He is more a dare devil than me. Everyone was super nice and instructions were very easy to follow. We will do this again on our next trip to Branson. Thankful the Chaplin that visit my office told me about this ride. Stepped out of my comfort zone and had a great time.
- U2857WBpams00Awesome mountain coaster.Best mountain coaster ever. We had so much fun on the coaster. We have rode several mountain coasters and by far this was the best.
- Vakcmo00Exciting mountain rideThe ride up is very peaceful but the ride down is very exciting. Night rides are more exciting because you can see what comes next
- LaurieAGAnderson00Going fast in the darkWe had a large group and they got us through pretty decently. We had about an hour wait if not longer. I recommend layers when it gets dark even with the time change during winter. And if your afraid of heights do the ride at night so you don't have a height perspective during the ride. Lol.
- B6912AKjoshuaw00AwesomeI don't like rides but this was the best time I've had in along time would recommend to anyone 👍👌!
- Passport78079500Fun for the whole family!Had lots of fun on this mountain coaster! Its set in a hilly wooded area with great views. You control the speed, its great for families with younger kids. My daughter and I let our cars go with no brake! My wife was more cautious so she was able to use the brake. The staff was super helpful too!

We were really excited! It was fun, we would’ve loved to ride a second time but the price was pretty steep and you had to do it the same day, we would’ve chosen to do it a second day if it would’ve been at the discounted price for another ride. But overall is was fun and one time was fine. I think if they changed up their pricing they’d have a lot more second time riders!

We arrive at the location and it was softly drizzling we waited in line for about 15 minutes before going to the window where we were told the coaster was not running and we would have to wait an hour for them to dry the track off. The man at the window said that we should come back later so we went to the car and we’re heading out the parking lot when we saw families being helped and allowed back to the track. We then got out and went inside to ask a question and inquire why we were sent away when they were still running the mountain coaster. We talked to a red head working in the photo department and she was super rude and unhelpful. We were explaining what happened and how we were sent away because we were told the coaster was closed until it stopped raining. The lady was not helpful and cut us off multiple times. We did not care about the weather raining we understand it is crucial to take precautions but why tell someone it is for sure closed one second and then let people in the next second. There is no customer service and the lady was just being overall rude. I do not understand how hard it is to just give sympathy and help someone which is apart of customer service. Please do not put someone on a department if they are going to act worse than a child with no manners.

Thanks for letting us know about your experience. This is not typical of how we treat our guests and we will work on our communication. We appreciate your patience with the weather, making a determination of when it will clear up & be ready to reopen is always a difficult task--sounds like we can do better communicating it & will do so with proper customer care.

We’ve been on quite a few mountain coasters over the years and this one was about average. It gets going quite fast if you keep the brakes off (they said approximately 30 MPH). We did not get to see it at night time because of bad weather, but it seems like it would be better since the track is all lit up. The cost was on the high side with the first ride at $20 per person and any after that $12.

Was only about an hour wait in line. But the fans were not working and it was extremely muggy and warm. Really difficult for younger kids to wait in line when it's that hot out and absolutely no air flow. Tried to buy tickets online and your web page would only let me go so far and lock up. Tried several times and the same thing every time.
Zip line was closed due to social distancing, but really not sure why when you pack that many people in line for the coaster and no one ever came thru to wipe the railings down.
Overall the ride was a blast. The teens loved it I enjoyed it.

The mountain coaster FLIES on the downhill portion! Scared me half to death, but I went ahead and stayed full throttle all the way. If I flew off the rails I was going to do it in a blaze of glory!
My husband's seat belt came unbuckled when he was going downhill. The coaster came to a stop. He finally figured out he was unbuckled and hooked it back up, and away he went. I recommend adding a safety feature that may prevent that from happening in the future. He thought his belt might have pushed on it while going around a curve, causing it to unlatch.
My parents (60's) and our teenage sons also enjoyed the coaster.

The coaster was a lot of fun. We rode it during the day to get an idea of what it was like. Then we left and came back at dark. It was obviously cheaper to ride the second time so it was hard to pass on an opportunity to ride at night. It was a completely different experience in the dark. The lights were really neat.
We bought the zip drive package of pics and had both day and night rides on it. Only negative is that the young person taking the pics didn’t get any of my wife on the night ride. No explanation was given.
Advice: be prepared to bounce around quite a bit. If you are tense, then the ride can jar your neck. Heck of a fast ride without using breaks at all. Also, if you choose to ride twice like we did, get in line about 45 min to an hour before dark. The line was much longer at night with all the teenagers, so by the time it’s your turn it is dark already.
Great experience! Wish it was 5x as long! Well worth the cost!
Have fun!

There were a total of 11 of our family that rode the Runaway Mountain Coaster Ride. 10 of us had a great time and one had to much anxiety to enjoy the ride. 10 of us rode the ride twice. My wife liked it because she was able to control the speed of the sled at her pace. Next time we do the ride at night which we weren’t able to do this time around because of other activities planned.

It was fun and very safe. Almost too safe. My only gripe is that if your cart get too close to the one ahead of you, it will automatically stop... So if you want to go full speed the whole time, you might not be able to. Because if you catch up to the person in front of you, you will be stopped.... I was stopped 3 times.. that’s my only complaint

Lots of fun for my wife, papa, and 4yo daughter. It was fun, safe, and my 4yo (who rode tandem in separate trips with my wife and me) loved it.
Expect 5 minutes to ride the coaster to the top and 1-2 minutes trip down the rails. When we visited, there was 2-10 minutes wait to board a coaster and start the ascent, so it wasn't long to wait, or to buy repeat trip tickets. The longest wait can be buying initial tickets at the ticket booth. Make sure you watch the video and complete the waiver on the right hand side of the front face of the building before lining up for tickets. You can also complete the waiver online and then watch the 2 minute video on-site.
Tandem riders will be asked to stand on a large metal plate (weight scale) to verify passenger weight (max 300lbs total) upon buying a ticket and also when boarding the coaster. However, the weight amount is not visible and is just to confirm the limit is not exceeded.
We enjoyed the ascent. We visited about 630pm and stayed about an hour. We would have attempted the gem mining but we needed to get the family home.

We rode the Branson coaster first and enjoyed it. A few days later we rode this one and it was waaaaayyy better! We brought our kids, ages 4 & 6, so we did the 2 riders per car. It’s about a 5 minute ride uphill and they have fake animals set up along the track which my kids lived looking for and counting. The ride down was about 3 minutes (going full speed) and totally worth it. I’d go again in a heart beat.

Is there an admission fee or free admission and only pay for the ride? If my child is riding with me, do I buy 1 ticket or 2 tickets?

No admission fee, just pay for the ride. You will need 2 tickets, but the child is cheaper.
What is the weight limit for one person

275lbs...
why is the price so high and why does it take so long?
Kenneth R
Ravenswood, WV37 contributions
As for the time, I didn’t think it unusually long. Like any free wheeling ride, they must maintain safe buffers between riders and if the people in front of you ride the brakes all the way down, it will take longer. As for price, there is an initial price and then subsequent rides are lower, by as much as half. Otherwise, I assume that they are trying to make the maximum profit on the first ride as repeat riders may not be frequent.

How strict are they with the enforcement of minimum riding height for 3 year old?

If could depend on who’s watching the ride I guess, however due to safety and insurance concerns they are pretty strict.
